Worst notebook I've had to date
on September 16, 2015
Posted by: Anonymous
I'm a 10-year experienced software developer (C#, Java, PHP, and more), my boss bought me this notebook about 2 years ago as all reviews were saying it was probably the best of ultrabooks, just after the MacBook Pro.
Well, I'm very disappointed: very average CPU, awful wireless adapter (and no real possibility to change it), screen colors can't render yellow at all, USB bus seems to somehow provoke fatal Windows errors when transferring big amounts of data, and the build quality is very average, less than anything I have owned in the past. For its price, this ultrabook isn't worth it, go buy something else.
All the problems I experienced have been well documented in the Lenovo help forums. Take a look.

Right combination of size, weight and power. Battery pack gets extremely hot! Over all very happy with decision to buy. Bought two of them.

Good machine

Bought 02/2014. Got good price with 36 months 0% financing. Win 8.1 was not a problem. fast, love the SSD and speedy processor. Lighter than the school issued tablet. Can't add more memory from 4 to 8 GB. Shifted to windows 10. and had minor issues. wireless care that came with system I did upgrade to dual band for $25 so it would work at school . For that price I wish it came pre-installed. now faster with 5.0. Battery life could be approved. Getting around 5 hrs time. I don't play games on it. Great screen and resolution. still going strong. My biggest problem is navigating web site and constant refusal to recognize my laptop Registered product 3 times and it took on the 3rd time.

I bought this 2 months back and from the day 1 I noticed that it heats a lot , and also gives a big noise from the fan . Is this available in every laptop of this type?

Not a good laptop

Our office bought 6 yoga 2 pros, 5 have them had to be sent back for hard drive issues. The blue tooth is spotty at best and the wifi poor. Want to listen to the radio online and work with adobe software? Well don't even think of this machine.
Buy something else, this pc is AWFUL.

Beautiful laptop, but my keyboard is CRACKING
on October 16, 2015

I've had this laptop for over a year now and I love the touch screen and general integration with windows 8.1. Windows 8.1 crashed on the regular though, which seemed to be a bug from windows 8.1. I later upgraded to windows 10 and I've not had any problems since then.
My keyboard is cracking next to the hinges--they put so much pressure on the plastic that hairline cracks formed at first, and are now spreading. I'd choose something with a longer hinge.

Not worthy at all...!

Not at all worthy for a student. I bought this product 1 year ago. My first problem was it was not compatible with some of the software (in my case Weka). Then recently it is not turning on and came to know that its a mother board issue. And it is not that easy to take the battery out. Only thing is that it sleek and easy to carry. Happy to know that this product is no more available. Not at all worthy for the price I bought. I used my ultra book with extreme care. But it disappointed me a lot...
