Great until Windows 10

I've had the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro for some time. I like the quick startup using the SSD. Since Windows 10 the system does not seem to perform as fast, and I still get the screen flickering from time-to-time. With the initial Windows 10 load I had to find an appropriate driver to make Bluetooth operational again.

Worst device that I have ever owned.

This computer has had nothing but problems since day 1. The wifi adapter constantly fails, so I have to wait a while till it decides to reset itself. My screen constantly glitches in and out, and doesn't stop for sometimes up to a minute. The hinges are very poor and have become loose. Whatever you do, never get this Laptop

Battery Life Sucks on the Yoga 2 Pro!
on March 9, 2016

I received this as a gift from my son and I was very disappointed in the Yoga 2 Pro. Six month after receiving it, I found that the cord had a shortage in it. I would plug the device in the charge, and I was shocked to see that as much as my son paid for it that I was having problems with the cord in less than a year.
I'm an accountant, therefore I need my keypad to be setup with a keyboard with ten-key.
Word to the Wise, Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is not

WHATEVER YOU DO DONT BUY THIS

I am a student and I can tell you that these Lenovos SUCK. I charge them for a full 12 hours and still my battery dies in about 30 seconds. I have never dropped it, but when I put a textbook on top of it, it broke the entire screen. I would only recommend this to people who make videos about ways to break the Lenovo, or I would wish it upon my worst enemies, and I would still feel sorry for them because this is just trash with a keyboard that has keys popping out every day.

Worst Computer I've Ever Owned
on June 24, 2016

Before expressing how I genuinely feel about the computer, here are a few conclusions that I have made about the features that seemed to be really cool when I bought it and in some way affected my decision to buy it:
-I thought the feature of folding the computer would really come in handy. I have only used that feature once over the past two years and I didn't find it to be useful.
-The volume is not very loud. Like, at all. I thought it would be loud enough for my purposes, but I very quickly found it was not. In fact, when using the volume in the middle of the day with hardly any background noise at all, I found I needed the max volume to be at least twice as loud as it actually was. If you're using headphones, it's a little better, but the quality of sound is worse, for whatever reason.
-Not having a disc drive is okay, but I have found myself needing a disc drive several times. Mostly to install programs, and watch DVD's while on trips (because, again, downloading things has been so unreliable).
-The battery life is decent, but not ideal, and I found the life shortened considerably over the past two years.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, here's how I really feel about the computer:
I bought this computer exactly two years ago. It has been two of the most consistently frustrating years of my life. It requires updating on a regular basis, I'd say weekly basis, and requires you to completely shut down your computer every time. If you don't update it, it will very quickly become slow and begin to not respond.
The computer randomly shuts down while I'm in the middle of things and doesn't save my work (has happened once since I've been writing this review), and I personally think that the software is poop, and not user friendly.
As mentioned above, I've had the computer for two years and I have been receiving calls from Microsoft lately in regards to the errors and notifications my computer has been sending them. They strongly believe my computer is about to crash. Crash. After two years! I'd like to also mention that I hardly have anything stored on this computer because it so immediately proved to be unreliable, I was worried about trusting it. I don't have any music, only about 100 photos, and maybe 60 documents. That's it. I haven't downloaded any apps, movies, games, etc...
Honestly, there isn't a single thing I like about this computer, and the few things I wrote about above are things that I have encountered just while writing this review, the review would be too long if I listed all of my complaints. Before purchasing this computer I had only owned Mac's. I purchased this in hopes of finding a computer that could perform adequately for the tasks I needed and that would save me some money. I paid a considerable amount at $1100 for this computer, but I wish I had just paid the extra few hundred dollars for a Mac. I've never wanted to actually throw something out the window as much as this computer, and I consider myself a calm and patient person.
For another point of perspective, my boyfriend is an electronics engineer and also thinks this computer is the worst one he has ever used (and he has used a lot of different computers over the years!)

Good Quality Overall

I have owned this PC for nearly a year now and have all in all been happy with its performance. The display is of excellent quality, and in my opinion the keyboard and trackpad feel dependable as well. That being said the battery life is a very slight issue, especially at higher display brightness, and the machine isn't truly powerful enough to power itself at the maximum available 3200x1800 resolution and I had to immediately reduce it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
