Decided to upgrade my 5 year old laptop, and I gotta say Lenovo really did a fascinating job with this laptop... a few words come to mine to describe this ultrabook: slick, light , fast, durable, convenient. You will not be disappointed if you decide to purchase. Note I got the i7, 8gb, 256gb, silver version.
I love the high resolution screen, but the resolution of the programs including all browsers, Microsoft Office, and other 3rd party apps aren't able to support the higher resolution so the resolution when using most programs is actually worse than on an inferior display. Very disappointing. Otherwise it's a well designed laptop and reasonably priced.
The Good: - The Keyboard. Very solid and backlit. - Lighter & thinner. On paper one would say the difference is negligible, but in reality one can notice the difference. - Sound is incredible The Bad: - The screen cannot reproduce yellows well (muted rather brownish), and not as crisp as I expected. - The track pad. It’s much smaller about 10-15%. I prefer the one on the 13. - SD Card reader. This is no longer a full depth bay. - Power Indicators are on the side now making it difficult to see what they are trying to convey.
The laptop form factor and build quality seem good. Battery life has been as expected and the backlit keyboard is a welcome addition. Lenovo released these Yoga 2's with a screen that cannot accurately produce most colors. At this point no one is sure if there will be a fix and Lenovo is not making any official statements other than they're working on figuring it out. IMO this laptop costs way too much to be unsure of a fix. Until they address the screen issues I cannot recommend this product. It should be pulled off the shelves to save some credibility in the tech community.
Everything s wonderful save these following issues.
The display reproduces yellow VERY poorly. I got this laptop to edit photos on the go and I am disappointed in this very obvious weakness. I've never seen anything like this before in a display.
The lock/power button and volume rocker are rather small and are not very tactile. This makes it hard to feel where the lock button is without actually looking for it.
Fix the color reproduction and I'll change my review to a 5
As for apps, performance, build quality, this is a 10/10 for sure.
Cons: Display performance, color reproduction (yellow)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waited a long time for this laptop to be released and I am very satisfied with this product! Boots up in 6 seconds, beautiful display, plenty of ram, very portable, great battery life, comfortable/responsive backlit keyboard, perfect touchscreen, flying processor, and excellent sound quality. My only complaint is that the color yellow is off and hopefully this can be fixed with an update. Make it HAPPEN Lenovo!!!! Still the best laptop out there in my opinion with a great asking price. 5 Stars!!!!
