This laptop offers significant beauty in its design and is so eye catching every time I lay my eyes on mine. I love its weight and thinness and its hinge's are very sturdy as I have folded it many times per day since I have bought it. The shell feels very smooth and has a texture that isn't typical to other plastic laptops out there.
The screen is big enough to be a real convertible in which i can use it efficiently as a laptop and tablet, any bigger and it shouldn't be able to fold as it would be to much work to hold (but I can see it work for the flex series)
The only two downside is that it can't be upgraded internally such as the RAM, battery, or SSD and the QHD+ resolution makes everything too small to work with efficiently.
I waited and waited for this upgrade to come out and made the switch from a MacBook Pro. I have been having significant wifi issues and have installed all drivers, changed settings, etc. as recommended by numerous forums, etc. Unfortunately, my problems are not limited to me. Scaling is a problem for numerous programs, browsers, etc., but that is not a Lenovo issue. Hoping software updates can rectify these frustrating problems.
Pros: Weight, Processor, Memory, Build Quality
Cons: Wireless card, Display performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This laptop is everything I expected it to be. THe resolution is fantastic and backlit keyboard works perfectly. Windows 8 took a lot of getting used to but now it works perfectly. Track-Pad is very responsive and my only complaint is it is a little hard to press down. Touch-Screen is very sensitive. I do not have any problems with scaling because of the high-res screen. Backlit keyboard is very bight but I do wish that it was possible to adjust the brightness. Overall, great laptop, and I highly recommend it.
Ordered i7 + 512GB SSD model and delivered this week. While it is only two days since opened up the box, this is the best laptop. I have been using Thinkpad for work and MacBook pro for personal use, and now decided to sell MacBook Pro. From price perspective, it is honestly expensive but not too much when compare with other products like Surface Pro and new MacBook, and it is definitely compelling that beautiful high density display show everything beautiful, and great heat management always keeps the PC quiet and cool. One thing I would like Lenovo to improve is trackpad. It is OK, but sometimes feels frustrating which I'd hope to see smoother response in any cases.
I was really looking forward to this ultrabook and purchased the top of the line. The biggest issue is that many programs have screen type that is miniscule on the screen. For example, in the Chrome browser it is impossible to read (or re-size) the text in the URL window. Two other programs I use regularly had text that could not be resized and was so small that it was unreadable.
As far as speed, I would say it is OK. I do a lot of coding and design work, and compiling was a bit slow.
If you are sticking to Windows software, then the experience is probably fine. Many trackpad settings (such as swipe left to change programs) are easily inadervantly triggered, but are possible to switch off.
The design is truly lovely. I only wish Windows 8 lived up to the design of this ultrabook.
Pros: Weight
Cons: Display resolution, Screen size
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
