Great purchase

The display beats the iPad Air! It is simply stunning. I not only fixed the yellow issue with the BIOS updates but also went into the control panel to calibrate the colors because I found it too warm for my taste. I lost my internet connection once, but a call to Lenovo customer service has since resolved the issue after he help me to update the LAN driver. I like almost everything about this laptop, especially the one-of-a-kind orange cover.
Con-knocked off one star for the Design because I really don't like the Lenovo logo being placed on the top left corner of the the display screen. I find it to be distracting and a bad design choice. If used in the tent mode, the logo is upside down. I think it should have been placed somewhere on the keyboard part of the laptop instead.
Pros: Weight, Support, Keyboard/peripherals, Build Quality, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: logo placement

An Excellent Machine
on December 16, 2013

After tons of research and comparison, with Sony, Dell and Microsoft, I ended up with the 13" (the Best Buy version 8GB + 256), an excellent equipment for real world working, as for me, below this, using Excel and Word is not practical. After the bios update the yellow seems much better and never had an issue with wireless. The only considerations: a stylus like the Surface 2 would be a great addition, the equipment gets warm and the fan could be just a little quieter for bed use. Otherwise, a great equipment to carry around, good battery life > 5h, very fast, light, excellent resolution and brightness, kyb back light.
I did have some trouble pairing the bluetooth with the Apple and HP mice (stops the connection after some time), and connected a Logi unifying. I am also running Autocad
Pros: Battery, Weight, Processor, Memory, Screen size, Display performance
Cons: Input/Output compatibility, Bluetooth

Not happy with the purchase
on December 20, 2013

Very disappointed with the purchase experience and the device.
1. The tracking URL provided in the email didn't work. I checked and called, but no Reps knows where the order was.
2. The fonts of the display are all too small and sometimes, the IE maximized button doesn't work.
3. None of my previous headsets work. I did use them for a couple of days (they were only 3/4 into the Jack), but now, the speakers don't work... There are no instructions on what headset would work..
In general, this is my first Lenovo, and hate it!!
Pros: Battery
Cons: Support, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does Everything Well
on December 28, 2013

I'm impressed with the Yoga 2 Pro. It's a solid performer as a laptop AND is lightweight with very good battery life. The attention to detail is apparent in the design - excellent keyboard, very helpful keys for Win 8, and superb screen.
The Yoga concept works well. Other convertibles are too complicated. It's so easy to fold and use in other positions. The exposed keys in tablet mode don't bother me. The main drawback is the price. But if this is your main machine, it is worth it.
Pros: Battery, Weight, Processor, Display resolution

Hope hinges hold up better than their laptops
on December 29, 2013

As My title says, hope they have improved the Hinges. Laptop hinges were welded to the motherboard & the casing just keep falling apart. So many angry people on the Internet complaining of this. I finally put mine in a closet & bought a 14in. Chromebook
Pros: Storage, Display performance
Cons: Durability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waited One Year
on December 30, 2013

My Yoga 2 Pro is a 8GB/256 SSD version received 12/23/13. In one week have added all applications and apps necessary for my mobile computing. This is the Ultrabook we've waited for. The battery life is as advertised. The speed is amazing, especially graphics. The WiFi and yellow issues have been resolved. My desktop background is now the same picture used on my Dell workstation and the Yoga screen makes it look better. My Bluetooth mouse works well except coming out of the sleep mode (apparently has a similar problem as the WiFi originally did). Older Software has too small icons at default resolution so you have to change for them. So far I'm a happy camper!
Pros: Battery, Weight, Processor, Software compatibility, Memory, Wireless card, Screen size, Build Quality, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: Bluetooth, Included Software

Great except HDMI doesn't work
on January 2, 2014

Everything is wonderful about the machine itself but I really need to extend the desktop to a second monitor and the HDMI connection is dead. The 3 year on-site warranty is also useless with Yoga since they have no authorized repair facilities in the US.
Pros: Processor, Memory, Screen size, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: Warranty, Support, Input/Output compatibility, Build Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
