Hugely Disappointed

I have had my eye on a Yoga for years now. My husband surprised me with the Yoga Pro 2 for my birthday 3 months ago. However, within my first week problems started cropping up. My biggest complaint is the consistently inconsistent wifi. It almost never connects automatically, even to my home and office network that I use daily. It drops the wifi throughout the day and makes it impossible for me to do my work. I understand that the wifi card was updated for the Yoga Pro 2, but it didn't seem to help. It's incredibly infuriating. Other notes: the mouse works so-so and is finicky at best. I am so sad- it's lightweight and the resolution is lovely, but without a consistent wifi I have my doubts how long this very expensive yoga will last.

Love Computer
on October 21, 2013

This PC is ultra fast, extremely light and portable, crisp screen which is easy on my eyes, and has excellent multimedia capabilities. The lighted keyboard is a must, the ability to flip and fold this thing is phenomenal.
The problem is the color rendering as most people have stated on the forums. Yellow and reds are off. Yellow is deep bronze/mustard brown. In order to rid yourself of this problem "somewhat" one must put it in high performance mode which lessens the battery. (I have it plugged in right now).
I love love this computer. The forums are indicating that perhaps the color rendering is a firmware issue and not the panel. If this is true, I would love to see Lenovo provide a firmware update. However, if it is the panel - eep - Lenovo can you fix and do a voluntary recall?
Pros: Input/Output compatibility, Weight, Processor, Included software, Durability, Software compatibility, Memory, Bluetooth, Video card, Wireless card, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size, Storage, Display resolution
Cons: Battery, Display performance

this is an irritating laptop

i have worked with lenovos for a while and this is definatelly the worst machine from them, it gets really warm in the bottom side and have been getting the blue screen constantlly even after changing motherboard and the SSD, when i got it changed they reduced my ssd storage from 120gb to 90gb , whats up with that!. and i am still getting the same problem. my letter L key feells different probably because when they where changing the motherboard some materiall went in the keyboard. the performance is also sloguish and when opened it reacts slower than a lot of the things i use. The ssd is also reallly slow for this price point.
bad laptop llenovo

Do Not Buy

I have had the yoga 2 for 6 months now and I've had more problems than I've ever had with all my computers combined. The main issue is usually power. First time my battery wouldn't charge so I had to sit on the phone for 3 hours with customer service. 2 months later, battery won't charge again! Repeated that process. Now I'm at the 6 month mark and my laptop won't turn on or wake up. I let the battery run out since I didn't have a charger with me at school. Now it seems like it's charging because the power button is lit up, but the entire system is unresponsive. If I find a way to return this item I will do it in a heart beat.

Great for everything (almost)

Fast, reliable, everything I need for work & home. Don't game so couldn't say if the i5 Core is enough for that but certainly enough for everything else. 4GB RAM is plenty to have lots of projects open at same time for the multi tasker. Hi res screen beautiful...but problems still persist with remote desktop, have to change resolution every time to make text big enough to see. Also made my GoTo Meeting subscription useless because I can't share my screen with anyone else, all they see is a tiny section of screen. Probably some sort of work around but it isn't obvious and defeats the purpose of convenient web meetings. No other major issues.

Great Laptop
on September 17, 2014

I purchased this laptop for graduate school and I love it. The screen is beautiful, on par with Apple's Retina display, the computer is light but solid, and I even like how Windows 8 works. The only downsides to this machine are that the battery life is not amazing. I get about six hours of actual use. Not awful, but not stellar (the beautiful screen really eats up a lot of battery). Also, this laptop would be *the best* computer I have ever used if it had an active digitizer. Particularly with the folding design, this would be perfection. I am truly sad that it does not.
All in all, a great machine. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Worst Purchase Ever

Having to write this review one my phone because I cant keep a wifi connection with this laptop. Tried to download the recommended updates and drivers no luck. The screen has a yellowish mustard look, no quality at all. Battery life is mediocre but not what its rated to last. Two keys broke and cant be snapped back in. In the process of getting them fixed or a refund if possible. Restock fee is nearly $200. Frustrating experience, can't believe I wasted over a grand on a laptop that has this many problems. It also shows that it is going into tablet mode constantly when I am using it as a laptop. Only a couple times a day but still frustrating.
Cons: Video card, Wireless card, Support, Battery, Keyboard/peripherals, Build Quality, Display performance, Durability

Best all around computing solution

I was considering going to a tablet after being fed up with short battery life and heavy wt for laptops. I just was not ready to give up running my favorite programs so I thought I'd try one more generation of laptop that was kind of a tablet. I has been a fantastic choice. It runs everything I want; I actually love Windows 8 and is light weight to boot. The battery lasts long enough for most circumstances (longer would be even better). The screen is amazing. I am very happy I did not go for an under powered tablet. I still really need the power of a full computer and now I can get it in a light wt with excellent screen and long battery life.
