Best ever!

Bought one of these MANY years ago and had to give it up during a move. I missed it so bad. Finally found one online after looking everywhere in the stores. The pour is great, easy to use and makes best coffee without any stuff in the bottom. And the temperature adjustment is great so I don't burn my mouth like many of the other pots I've tried.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Programable Brew nice, Auto shutoff nice, Beep when ready was nice (can be turned off), pause & serve tab broke: replaced once (bought extras), Pot leaked when pouring from day 1, New replaced pot leaked also, burner plate corroded but worked well, after 8 years electrical burning smoke came out and it died. Bought a cheaper Mr. Coffee model CHX23 with a different carafe design... no more leaks when pouring, but it quit heating the water after two months (heating element inop) and would stay on, but not brew. (Loved the different style better pouring carafe)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love that I can have it ready when I wake up and that it has the auto shut off. Couldn't live without it!!

Terrible smell and taste won't go away

Depsite cleaning this coffe maker multiple times, and then just putting it away hoping it would off gas, I CANNOT get rid of the awful chemical/plastic smell and accompanying taste. Very disappointing.

I bought this coffee a week ago. It comes with a glass pot but yet I cannot get it to switch from thermal to glass. There is nothing in the instructions on how to do it except that the coffee maker is supposed to "read" and know the difference between a glass pot and a thermal pot. If that's the case, my coffee maker is blind. I guess because the thermal doesn't require to be heated that makes the coffee maker shut down early.

Thanks for sharing your review! This particular model does not have the option of switching between glass and thermal. If you have one of our glass/thermal models and you're having a problem with the selection, please be sure that the decanter is on the warming plate before turning the coffee maker on. poor quality

I bought this two months go and it has already quit. We only make a pot/day. This is the 2nd Mr Coffee pot yht has lasted 3 months of less. Any suggestions for a brand that lasts?

makes good hot coffee

My wife and i recived as a gift
We probably wouldnt have chosen this model basket needs to go into machine just right or it floods the counter
The other thing is you have to select brew strength every time if you make coffee

This model brewer does have the Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause feature which allows you to stop the brew cycle when you need a cup before brewing is finished. The removable filter basket does need to be properly centered and all the way down in the brew basket so the lid can be closed, and so that no leaking occurs when using the auto pause feature. This brewer automatically defaults to a regular brew, so the strong brew option does need to be selected each time you brew. Inconsistent design

unfortunately most of the times I prepare coffee in this brewer I end up cleaning all the spilled coffee.
The glass garage is poorly designed and though to empty and clean.
