Mr. Coffee died today.

How can a coffee maker not even 6 months old go dead? I had my coffee this morning it's worked fine up to the point where I just came downstairs to the kitchen and noticed that the clock wasn't on. I unplugged it for awhile and plugged it back in, nothing, it's completely dead. I'm seriously annoyed and disappointed by this product.

Lasted a year

I bought this a year ago at Walmart. I truthfully don't even use it every day because I use a cure egg several mornings a week. As many stated, I used it one morning this week and it did nothing. I took it back to Walmart and they only have a 90 day window for replacement. Too busy to mess with returning for repair. Didn't buy the cheapest maker and expected it to last several years. Very disappointed.

Pretty, but didn't last

I was happy with this product at first. It looked good and made good coffee. But within a year it fried. Smoke and stink kind of fried. Customer Service sent a new one. Sixteen months later (past warranty, of course), it quit working. No smoke this time, it died quietly. I'd just bought a new carafe ($15+sh) because I broke the original, so that's a waste. I'm going back to the plain-old $20 cheapies.

Who wants to wait an hour for coffee to brew?

I bought this coffee maker yesterday and was super excited about it. My Mom had one just like it and she said it was the best coffee maker she has ever had. Can't say the same is true for me. It took over an hour to brew 12 cups of coffee and didn't even brew 12... it brewed 8! Turned it on again this morning to give it another try. Put in 6 cups of water and 20 minutes later only 2 cups and the screen was blacking out round the corners from I guess the steam? From reading the reviews it seams like Mr. Coffee has had a lot of issues with this coffee maker and should consider pulling it from the shelves and redesigning it. My husband wanted a Keurig but because I drink more coffee than he does, I got the maker I wanted. Now I guess I will be going back to the store for the Keurig and I got a " see, you should have listened to me" from him. Thanks Mr.Coffee!

Bought in late April quit working September

This coffee maker worked alright, it was tight to get water in but brewed reasonably well. Was very disappointing last week when suddenly it started beeping the "coffee done", i think, beeps and no coffee had been brewed at all. A cheaper model Mr. Coffee lasted much longer making me feel I wasted my money.

Weak coffee

This machine is nice-looking with nice features, but for those who like weak, bland coffee. Bought this at Costco last week - what a deal at $29! You get what you pay for. I have experimented with different grinds, amount of water, and the coffee beans that I love. AND I use the brew strength button. If I kept this model, I would have to use twice as much coffee (equates to 2 large scoops per cup) than with my old machine. I like a full, rich cup of coffee, not coffee-flavored water.

Cover for resorvoir is difficult

The maker mkes great coffee but the difficult task is trying to lift the cover up for the resorvoir , it is poorly designed making it almost impossible to lift up, most of the time I have to use a butter knife to lift it up. For a senior citizen it is almost an impossible task.
