Coffee is great but the beeping...

We bought Mr. Coffee® Performance Brew 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, FTX49-NP, a few weeks ago. We cleaned it according to the manual without issue. We only drink coffee on the weekends, so we don't have it plugged in all the time. When we do plug it in, the beeping continues for several minutes before it stops. We've consulted the manual but there's nothing in there about beeping. So annoying when others haven't gotten out of bed yet. Anyone else have this issue?

design issue

I like the look of the coffee maker, and coffee tastes good, but do not like the limited space to get water in. It is difficult to pour water in using the coffeepot as it bumps into the circular water dispenser above the coffee basket. I end up spilling water either on the grounds or out the side trying to get the water in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Leaks water

The coffee tastes very good the coffee maker which is not my first Mr. Coffee is the worst. The karafe always holds water under the handle after you rinse it, the machine makes a puddle of water underneath all the time, there's water everywhere.
Do not buy this.

10 Years of Daily Use

This coffee maker has been phenomenal for us. We've been using it daily for 10 years, and have never once had a problem. Unfortunately, the cord recently developed a short, and the coffee maker is no longer usable unless we repair the cord. Still, after 10 years, I am not unhappy. I'll probably just buy this one again and hope for another 10 years of us!

I hate this coffee maker!

The clean red light started flashing after the first week of using it. I've run copius quantities of vinegar throught it...it is still flashing. The lid on the top will not stay tightly closed on the carafe. The coffee will not drip though properly and even stops dripping at times. I've had the basket overflow, creating a horrible mess. My final complaint: the box has a picture of this pot with true red, and the store display model also was true red. When I opened it at home I discovered the red is an ugly metallic red. If I hadn't needed a coffee maker that evening, I would have returned it simply because the box incorrectly represented what was inside. And now that I can't keep the lid on, constantly have to wipe up overflow (and wait too long for some coffee), and can't get the crazy clean light to stop flashing, I wish I had returned it immediately. Or rather, I wish I had never bought it! I've had $15 coffee makers that perform better and look great. And they made better coffee.

Best coffeepot ever

I had one similar to this one that finally gave up on me after 8 years. Although a larger space for pouring water in would be good, I wouldn't want a different model. With the adjustable warming switch my coffee is always the right temperature and a strong mode gives my morning coffee just the right flavor for a coffee addict.
