Poor design water everywhere dangerous

Within the first week of using this coffee maker I wish I could return it but I can't. The design is terrible! The placement of the water reservoir makes it almost impossible to add water without spilling it everywhere. When the water gets hot/boils there is a hole at the back of the coffee maker, not listed/shown on instructions where the water leaks constantly right down onto the electrical cord! You can have a single cup of water or all 12 and half of the water leaks out the back. The top of the carafe is so small that you can't get all the coffee out without tipping it completely upside down. This also makes cleaning the carafe a nightmare and I can't get my hand inside and must use a small brush that doesn't get everywhere because the angle is wrong. Mr. Coffee used to make good machines but they are sub-par now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped Working

I really loved this coffee pot. It worked great for a little whIle and after a few months the coffee pot completely stopped brewing and the bottom would not get hot at at. I haven't had coffee in so long cause I dont have the money to out and buy a new decent coffee maker. .

Horrible machine

Thought it came some part called shower head. Used it a couple of times and then found the shower head 0-I believe== had just disappeared! Tried to brew coffee and it did was steam up all over the place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Coffee Maker

We have been buying these for many years. Even started to buy them for family members for Xmas. Clock is illuminated, so its clear to read and program. Decanter doesn't spill like other brands. Filling up the machine and the window on the front make filling easy. Adjustment of temperature is a great feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not made as well as the prior make of this model

I was brought up on Mr Coffee from my mom, aunts and uncles always using them. So keeping with tradition, it's what we have been using since we have been married for the last 38 years! I have the red one of this model, we owned the previous model (which I called Candy, yes I name my appliances because they are family lol) was amazing and we had had it for about 3 - 4 years before the hose broke on it and leaked everywhere so into the Airplane Hanger it went! When I went and got this "newer" version of the one I had bought, it had some subtle changes which I do not like. If it ain't brought DON'T fix it! you know? So this one has a carafe that was shaped a bit differently (harder to replace etc..), pouring is a special treat with the spout/lip that protrudes like a bad over bit!
As like the others, placing the water the first time was a mess. But it didn't take me twice to figure how to pour water into it without spilling it.... But I shouldn't have to use alternative methods to just pour the dang water in. And what rocket scientist developed this? Have they never filled a water tank before? or drank from the machine before? Or actually tested it to see whats wrong? Or did they hate their job and do this on purpose? Come on now!
I mean like really you don't have testers there?
I will be happy to do all of your product testing as long as you listen to the feedback and fix it right and get back your Mr Coffee customers that you be keeping and not running to Cuisinart or other brands! YOU are MR COFFEE for pete's sake!
Seriously I would be more than happy to do this for you!
