EXCELLENT PRODUCT but...............

Hands down.. Its a wonderful product! I'm having a great time with this new bluetooth speaker! Yes Its eyecandy and I really like that. Sound wise, the speaker sounds really good! No low bass but thats fine.
There is a negative portion about this product. Its that JBL/Harmon Kardon chose NOT to include a case or protective sleeve. That's a bit mind boggling because the $150 JBL CHARGE comes with a protective case/sleeve.
Come on guys really?? $200 for this and you can't even include a cover for this???

I purchased the JBL Pulse after a side by side comparison to the Bose Soundlink Mini. While the Bose bests the Pulse in Bass, JBL delivers an overall experience. Quality sound at any volume whether streaming music or watching Netflix. The light show is one of the best gimmicks currently on the market.

Is there a way to connect spotify playlists with the jbl music library? If that is possible, this would make it a perfect portable speaker for me. That is the only thing that is missing. Let me know if anyone knows!

This is WAY cool, BUT REALLY, NO Android LED APP?

After 2 weeks use EVERY night I can report truthfully this: The battery life is GREAT (w/ the LED lights on the battery life is OVER 6.5 hours, not 5). It re-charges in about 6+ hours. The sound is clear, with a nice tonal quality at all designed sound levels. Finally, the LED lights are WAY COOL & fun too look at, they are bright, responsive, with the actual product in the box being as good as, or better than even the YouTube ads seen online. BUT... Here is where praise ends... WHY is there No ANDROID App to custom set the LED lights to MY personal liking? Why is it that you ONLY offer this APP to APPLE customers? Just what makes them so special here when the APP is just a thing FREE for them get? THIS IS ALMOST THE MAIN FEATURE FOR THE PRODUCT! I'm going to clue you in OK JBL... Ask yourselves this question: What is the ratio of Android phones to Apple ones? I'll tell you what it is so you can get to fixing this issue NOW: It's 81% Android phones TO ALL OTHER types of Smart Phones out there. 81%! Not 35%, or even 45% to Apple's 50%, no, the Apple ratio is FAR lower... and this info is for Q3 2013 so it's not old news here. Apple (Smart) Phones are just a scant 13.4% to Android's 81%! With all the rest being either Microsoft or other type bringing up the rear. Think for a moment, who is going to use this product? A laptop user? A "Big Screen TV" user? No, it's going to be used by a Smart Phone (or Tablet) user because the speaker on their phone is really just there to make phone calls. And this ratio works about the same for all Tablets too (Android to Apple etc.). So, JBL you got a pretty big problem here. You have something really special with the Pulse, SO don't blow it by neglecting your BIGGEST Smart Phone (Tablet) market(s) just before the holidays are here! Sprint, along with many other carriers, are selling the JBL Pulse RIGHT NOW (Nov 2013) IN STORES all across globe and ONLINE. BUT, when asked about the APP for their Android Smart Phones they have NO ANSWER as to why you are selling this product to the public with one hand tied behind their (and our) backs. So please, get with the program here while this wireless speaker is still HOT and people are buying them for holiday gifts for others (and themselves). OK...
