What's great about it: It keeps a constant humidity in the room
What's not so great: collection bucket is hard to clean
I have had this dehumidifier for about a month or so, I followed the instructions to get it going, and now it keeps a constant humidity (+ or -5*) in the small room, where I have placed it. The humidity reading on the machine seems to be fairly accurate with my hygrometer. The only thing that I don't like, is that the bucket will be a little hard to clean when it needs it. The noise it makes is on par with the other dehumidifier that I own, a little quieter if the fan is set on low. All in all, I would by this dehumidifier again.

What's great about it: Works quickly
What's not so great: It's loud
Nice dehumidifier gets rid of the humidity quickly, along with the stinky smells as well. You'd be surprised at how quickly the water collects. Only negative is it's really loud. We turn it off when watching television

What's not so great: no p[roblems
For the month that we have had it, we are very pleased. Now we want to test it when the summer humidity levels set in and then we can tell for sure. So very pleased for now.

What's great about it: It works perfectly. I hope it lasts for years.
What's not so great: It might be a little loud, but since it's in my basement it;s not a problem for me.
I have nothing bad to say about this dehumidifier. It is located on the basement level of my house, and I have been emptying the bucket full of water every couple of days. Once when I hadn't emptied the bucket in time, it shut off rather than overflow, so that feature works too.

What's great about it: It works good
What's not so great: Its made poorly
Box arrived wet and damaged but the unit was OK. - That was UPS.
I guess I expected better from a company that's been around as long as Frigidare. It works fine. It does what it is supposed to do. I like the controls. The bucket is easy to empty. I didn't realize the exhaust blew straight up but I can live with it.
My complaints are with the plastic housing - it buzzes and vibrates, a pet peeve of mine. I don't mind hearing machinery run but I am annoyed with rattles and buzzes. The back of the unit buzzed, I found out where and stopped it, The bucket buzzed, I stopped it. The filter on top buzzed, I stopped it. Now I've got little pieces of paper wedged in the gaps to keep it quiet. The outside just seems cheap. Time will tell if the rest of it is cheap too.

What's great about it: Care free. It really takes the water out of the air.
What's not so great: My first unit broke down. However Frigidaire's response was excellent.
This is a fine dehumidifier. Quiet, simple but effective controls, really takes the humidity out of a large basement. Does blow up toward the ceiling which is a problem for some people. I placed a large cloth on the ceiling where it blows so that the ceiling insulation is not being disturbed. Very easy to clean filter. Water removes very well with a hose attached to the dehumidifier running over to the sump.
As I say a fine dehumidifier but take note that fortunately the first one broke down 20 days before the warranty ran out. It kept producing ice on the coils. Frigidaire was very straight forward about honoring the warranty so I was able to go directly to Best Buy and pick up a new one. Hope this one works for as long as it works well. If that is the case I should have it for years.
Note that my model is the 70 pint model.

What's great about it: Easy set-up. Reliable, worth money, low power draw, quiet, maintenance free.
What's not so great: Nothing.
I own a massive Server room but someone messed up the insulation in the room. So in CA during the summer, The room gets very hot and moist, and i couldn't afford to spend another 18,000 dollars on a chiller with a dehumidifier, so i went out and put a Room cooler in and bought 2 of these for the server room. it went from 85 % humidity to 35 % overnight!!!. thats only 14 hours i gave them for runtime, and they have the hoses routed to the main drain for the rooms above us. It works like a charm. I thought i'd have to come back for 1 or 2 more, but i think 1 could have probably done the job. Always been a fan for Frigidaire. I'm going to be buying alot more of these when we expand to the upper floors in December. If they preform this good in a server room, i'm scared at what would happen in a house.

I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. It takes out the humidity very well, even on the days when the dew point and humidity combination are in the 70 - 80 range. The tank is very easy to pull and empty with the fold away handle on its top. The indicators for the tank level being full and for when the washable air filter in it need attention are accurate. Haven't had any problems whatsoever!

What's great about it: Size, sound, and tremendous power
What's not so great: nothing so far
I live in Colorado where its not normally humid but we have had a very wet summer. My finished basement started to smell very musty and I was concerned for mold. I went and picked up this model and plugged it in. Within 8 hours I pulled over 2 liters of water out of the air and my basement smelled fresh and clean. 2 days later I had emptied the thing 3 more times. Ever since I have left it on the low setting with the humidity level set and its been great. For those that said its noisy they are exaggerating. I have this 15 feet from my TV area and I don't have to turn up the volume or get annoyed with the sound. It's like having a fan on.
So far I am very happy with this product. Its been 3 weeks and all it great.

Would not drain through hose. Fridgidaire tech support solved it by telling me to buy a new, 5/8 inch hose, and to put something under the front of the dehumifier to tip the dehumifier backward. It now works fine, but this is not good engineering.

What's great about it: Quiet, and does a great job
What's not so great: nothing
I have a very wet basement and it dried it out amazingly fast. some people say it wont drain through the hose but it does just fine, the trick is to keep the end of the drain hose above water. Its a gravity bleed system, it wont flow if the end is sumerged

What's great about it: Runs well and without too much noise
What's not so great: hose connecction
works solid, not too noisy.
I bought this size at the recommendation of the sales associate at Best Buy.
I may not have understood my own needs at the time as I probably should have bought the next size larger, or been better prepared to set up a drain hose. I connected a standard brand new yard hose and it leaked at the compression washer joint any standard yard hose has, and I ended up with water running all over my basement. I need to look to find a hose that is special made for a dehumidifier.

What's great about it: Very effective in taking out the humidity in the basement.
What's not so great: Noise level is a little loud.
I purchased this Frigidaire 50-Pint Dehumidifier a couple of weeks ago and it is doing a great job of removing the dampness from our basement. It is easy to set up and easy to empty. (Our previous one was very difficult to empty.) The noise level is a little loud requiring us to turn off if we watch the TV which is located about 15 feet from the unit, but that is the only complaint I have about this product.

The unit dehumidifies well, but will not drain through the hose port; it will only drain into the bucket which is a problem.
After 3 phone conversations with tech. support & various troubleshooting methods, I have been asked to return it for another model.
A bit frustrating.

What's great about it: Powerful, quiet, fan is good to have for crawlspaces to circulate air
What's not so great: Unsure about life of unit, time will tell!
Did a bunch of research to replace my last dehumidifier, a LG 45 pint. Had that for almost five years and it frozen up on me last night. (Ice forming in the coils, possible coolant leak) A majority of reviews stated that the Frigidaire 50 was noisy and that the fan stayed on continously. I can tell you that compared to the LG, this is super quiet. I keep the unit in the crawlspace below our bedroom and could hear the LG turn on and off easily. I can't even hear the Frigidaire when the fan is on high. Also, when you achieve your RH setting the fan and unit turns off automatically. Some reviews make it seem like the fan stays on all the time no matter the setting. Also, great price point. At $199.99 it was about $50 cheaper than the LG 45 was about five years ago.

What's great about it: Really does a great job removing moisture from the air.
What's not so great: The relative humidity reading on the unit is incorrect.
I've been using this product for about a month now, and at first I couldn't figure out why it would constantly run, when according to my hydrometer the unit shouldn't be running.
It turns out that the unit's relative humidity sensor is just incredibly poor. I have a calibrated Cole-Parmer hydrometer in my room to tell me the appropriate humidity percentage, and the dehumidifier's reading is about 10 degrees off from the actual humidity in the room. Once you realize that - you can set the threshold appropriately and keep things where you need them to be.
As far as performance in regards to removing moisture from the air, this unit is amazing. Works like a charm and removes the moisture to amazingly dry levels, should you choose.
In terms of noise level, this unit seems to be average. I didn't turn it on and go.. "Wow, that's loud!" and I didn't go "That's SO QUIET!". It's the noise level you'd expect from a dehumidifier.
Overall - it's a great product, once you ignore the humidity display reading on the unit. I hope it turns out to be as reliable as other Frigidaire products I own.
As a side note, I'm a little concerned about Frigidaire's technical support department. I sent an email regarding the mismatch in the relative humidity level, and was told to contact my local service center. I was hoping for a little more expertise than schluffing me off to a local appliance repair center.
