I love my phone! It does more than you would think you would ever need

I love the thinness of the device. I really like the clarity of the screen and the screen size. The performance is stellar. If you don't already know about it, get the Smart Screen app and control your entertainment system/tv with your phone. It has an IR blaster built in so you are able to do that now.
My only complaint is that I had the phone a month and cases weren't readily available at the time, I didn't have one one and due to the form of the camera sticking out, it broke somehow. I don't mean it just cracked, it looked like someone jammed a ballpoint pen tip into the center of it and it shattered in a perfect circle. So a case is a must to protect the camera. Oh, and it is very pricey for the quality.
I would buy another one in a heartbeat. It will be hard to find a contender for this for quite some time. The S5 came out and I still like my Note 3 better. I see no need to upgrade with everything that this phone is able to do extremely well.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, ir blaster, high performance, ease of use
Cons: price, camera sticks out from back easily broken

Best Overall Phone on the Market

I came to be interested in the Galaxy Note 3 as I felt that I needed more productivity options at work. I had purchased an iPad Mini for the same reason; however, I'm usually on the move in my television studio and sometimes don't have it on my persons. Even when I did taking it out and opening up the correct App and starting to 2 finger type became such a process I gave it up all together.
In my business as a producer for sports television specific sequences in games are vital to airing the best content and in a 9 inning baseball game for example getting ideas noted and quickly is essential to our success.
Coming from the Galaxy S4, I already knew I loved the Life Companion features of the device but the Note 3 seemed to include of that in addition to an array of usable software and hardware for professionals and hobbyist alike so I bought it.
Two weeks in I don't know how I've gone so long without it. It is large. This is true and there is no getting around it but Samsung has included a One Hand Operation mode which greatly helps the process at times when its needed. Most of the time the phone is more of a pleasure to use with two hands. I use the S Pen all day everyday. From note taking and diagram creating to simply drawing pictures with my daughters at a restaurant while we wait on our food. If you are a man with medium to large hands or a women who carries a purse, you shouldn't have a problem. This phone is borderline amazing but you have to take the time to discover new features and really play with and enjoy your phone.

More than a phone a real business tool

My brother has an iPhone 5S and he's just as amazed as I am at how well I can enter data and use apps using the SPEN stylus. The iPhone can turn apps on and off but it's very limited for data entry unlike the Note 3 I have. Even though I'm left handed I'm so pleased how the handwriting recognition works and improved as I used it. I've used many phones over the years working as a road warrior sales person and I honestly see this product as light years ahead of the competition. If you want a real tool....Learn how to use what some are foolishly calling Samsung "bloatware". Have someone show you how you can jot a quick note or fully use the "Air Command" function of the stylus and you will understand how the others are toys compared to this well thought out device. I watch videos and slide shows and can simply pause, click the button on the stylus and do a screen grab in whole or part then annotate, place either in a journal, folder or scrapbook while adding tags, additional notes etc. I've used it to take intensive notes in meetings including adding voice memo recordings, projected screen capture using the camera to seamlessly combine into the best work notes I've ever made. Not only that but using a CRM I can do everything else on a screen large enough to have clients view a quick attention grabbing video or have them sing there name on a virtual document. Want a toy go by something else....want an investment that pays dividends every time you use it....then you need to buy this instead. I hope Samsung continues providing a phone with this form factor and features to meet my business needs. MJH

You get what you pay for

This is not an "econoline" phone. It will cost you to hold such power! I have had this phone for a couple weeks now. The only cons I see at this point is first the price. When you consider the price and then notice the plastic phone it just doesn't seem to justify the expense. For such a big, professional phone, they could have done better than plastic! Second is the menus. There seems to be menus everywhere...across the bottom, up the side, on the next page...etc. One icon is enough for each app!!!! Pros are to numerous to mention. There is the power. The phone is fast. I switched from a Galaxy S 2 to the Note 3. It's like going from dial up to DSL. Calls are clear through Bluetooth. Learning the phone wasn't to bad because it's similar to my old S2. If you've never had a Galaxy it may take some getting use too. The Smart Switch app worked great at getting my data transferred from one phone to the other. It really saved a ton of time. I haven't used the pen much other than to play with it a little to see how it worked. I can see it coming in handy to jot down notes in business meetings.
One final comment is the size....its big. I wanted a big phone and this is it. If you don't want a big phone look for another model. I don't view the size as a pro or con because I bought the phone I liked. If you want big and powerful, this phone is all that and more.

This is an amazing product

I purchased the Note 3 four months ago and I am completely loving it. The features of this product are easy to use and understand. I watched some in depth you tube videos of others who have mastered the lesser known features and they were really helpful. If you like having tablet capabilities with the use of a pen rather than a stylus and the functions of a cellular telephone, this product is great. I highly recommend it.

ABSOLUTE BEAST OF A PHONE!!!

After owning every iPhone ever made, I realized just how bored I was as a smartphone user. And the second I laid eyes on the Note 3, I knew it was the one for me. Some people jokingly gave me a hard time about it's size, but I absolutely love it. Everything else seems so tiny to me now, and impossible to text with. Using my phone as much as I do for work, it has become a blessing being able to see Blue Prints in large detail while on the go, and the S Pen makes writing notes within those Blue Prints for adjustments, the coolest thing ever.
