This is my first samsung android product I have bought and I went for the Samsung galaxy note 3. It was a very afford price. I love it it has a super fast load up when cutting on a very sharp image and I love that it is able to work with the new vr systems. It has a amazing features and there is a lot I still need to learn but so far I have to say I am more than happy with this phone. Only draw back Is it size and it is very hard to use one handed but there is a feature that slides everything to a small size on one side of the phone to help with that.
The Galaxy Note 3 is to me better than its predecessors because it is the last Galaxy that you could use the phone and Internet together. To boost sales Samsung might want to add this capability to the next Note. Overall I LOVE my Note 3.
You can expect a totally locked boot loader and to be the last in the world to get an update. Get the international version or better yet change carriers. Now at this time all US carriers except AT&T have released updates to Marshmellow. Samsung although I'm sure they have the signing keys refuse to do anything and AT&T will not release any information by policy until after they release the patch to avoid confusion. Apparently they don't realize leaving all the Note 5 users totally in the dark causes confusion.
AT&T models are inferior to all others models of the exact same device. I highly recommend Samsung stops partnering with them to release custom devices, and if you must use AT&T bring your own device.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used other look alikes and note want-to-bees but it seems like nothing can compare to the quality and the feeling a Samsung gives you. And nobody comes even close to the quality and functionality of the S Pen or stylus .When the phone is in your hand you can tell it is a quality made product. With that said tho, I do believe they can be overpriced which is why I am using an older Note 3 versus a Note 5 because I can't afford a new one..but if your like me and fell in love with the screen and stylus the Samsung Galaxy Note models are the only way to go.
I had the Note 3 prior to my Note 4 and I loved it. I upgraded to the Note 4 and gave my Note 3 to a friend who needed a phone on my phone plan and she enjoyed it until upgrading to the S7 Edge. I now have the Note 3 back in my possession and am amazed at how the Lollipop update increased battery life. Using it now for my goddaughter to play games on.
