This is just my initial review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I've had it for several weeks now and am starting to get a feel for it now. It's got ALOT of new features in it and the learning curve is quite steep. I recommend for new owners to do a lot of research and watch a lot of "tips and tricks" and "how-to-use" videos on youtube..that's helped me to learn most of these new features MUCH quicker than if you were just trying to learn it from usage. I like the larger screen but I wish that Samsung would get away from the "pentile" type pixel arrangement...although with this phone...the screen looks incredibly rich and vibrant so I can't imagine how great it will look if Samsung goes with a better pixel arrangement !. EIther way..this picture does look great...and I LOVE the speed of this phone's processor and I haven't noticed any lagginess when doing multiple functions in multiple windows ..so that's good news too. I like the increased features of the s-pen..it's easier to use and more functional than ever ! I also love that they increased the screen size while decreasing weight and thickness of this device !
I'll update after I get more usage with this one !
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, newly enhanced s-pen features
Cons: i expected samsung to give it a bigger battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

I almost didn't purchase because I thought this phone would be too large for me, but I love this phone!! I wanted to try something new and I have not been disappointed since making this switch. I purchased the Rose Gold Edition which I waited on to be released. I am very pleased with the performance of the phone; how fast it is. I have used this device to read books, because of the larger screen and everything looks great on the bright screen. I have only had one issue with the phone, which turned out to be a problem with the charger that came with the phone. Since then, the charger has been replaced and I am good to go!
I had the Galaxy S3 phone and liked it, but thought the screen was too small. This one, may seem big, but I grew up when phones where this big anyway, so its not a big deal for me, but still getting used to it. The performance is very fast. Thin and easy to hold. I Like this phone so much! It has so many features and it is so crystal clear. My only comment here on that is out in the sun, still the same problems with viewing. But better then the s3. Like the stylus, adds to the usage with my man fingers. I could write for a while, but the basic comment from me on this phone is: THIS PHONE IS THE BOMB!!!!
The Galaxy Note 3 has improved upon the previous two models with even more features, specs and future proofing design. 5.7" 1080p display, 3GB RAM, S800 Processor all designed to actually allow you to use this device for the term of your contract and beyond. For the first time I can actually say I will own this phone for a long time.
The overall design and built in internal storage plus a microSD slot are critical. Everyone says who needs a microSD with cloud storage. Well I say you do. Data rates are not cheap and the carriers want to gouge you daily for internet access. So unless you have unlimited data you want a 64GB microSD card on hand. Movies, music, photo's and any other content you can put on the device. Plus Samsusng still supports moving the app to the SD card, (sadly not the app data but that is a developer issue NOT Samsung's issue).
So when you need a phone that is a tablet, that is a multimedia center this is the device.
Recently switch from a google phone to the Note3. This new phone has great styling and I do like the large screen. I haven't yet been able to learn all the features esp. working with the stylus but I'm trying.
Having switched from an Iphone 5, the radio on the Note 3 far exceeds the Iphone. I get 4G signal where the Iphone barely got 3G. I see wireless networks where I previously saw none. Still feeling my way with Android and Touchwiz The phone is almost too customizable. We compared it on a Gym PA system and the audio output blew the Iphone out of the water Thanks for a quality product.
