Outstanding upgrade from EOS XS

I am a amateur and shoot from a wheelchair. The quality is super overall especially in low light situations. I shoot a lot of disabled sporting events and for our local newspaper. I also am the photographer for my Lions club. As a amputee in a wheelchair I have problems getting the shot I want because people tend to walk in front of me or I can't get as close as I want to be. I overcome most of these problems by using a monopod which allows me to get the camera up about 8 feet.
I have a remote attached to the camera and with the LED screen tilted down I can capture the scenes I want. I also use a 18-135mm lens almost exclusively to have the needed range because of being in the chair and being blocked by people. I am starting to get the hang of shooting videos and their quality is super also. Needless to say I am thrilled with this camera
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Camera I have owned

My pictures look so professional you would never know I was a beginner. The flip screen is awesome. The way you can go from 1 picture on the screen to 9 is excellent. You can look at them and delete long before you get home. The battery lasted longer than I expected. The speed in which it can take a picture is very impressive. The quality and features are great. It is light weight and easy to carry alone or in a case. I am very happy with my Rebel T3i. Can't wait to see what else it can do. It is easy to use. It doesn't have a lot of buttons, it's just simple and straight to the point. Practically point and shoot.
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

EOS Rebel T3i

Have had my EOS Rebel T3i for about one week. This is my first true DSLR camera and I love it. The picture quality is incredible. Studying the manual is really important for any new user like myself. I also purchased a 70-300mm telephoto lens with image stabilization that takes great long distance photos.
I wish there was a video on how to set the camera controls for different types of pictures. Oh well, I guess that learning how to properly use the camera is going to be the fun part. So far, I am amazed at the photo quality and know that I got the best camera for my money.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

An easy to use DSLR

The DSLR EOS Rebel T3i has performed as advertised. I was able to use the special modes or creative shooting within minutes thanks to the easy to follow user interface for special modes built into the camera. Although all of this is nicely explained in the users manual, one does not need the user manual to begin using these features. The user interface built into the camera leads one through it. I can actually use something other than the basic 'program' mode.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Want great pics, buy an EOS Rebel

I am a novice photographer who was using a digital point and shoot camera. I like to take pictures of wildlife, Sunrises and Sunsets as well as at family gatherings. I researched SLR Cameras and decided to buy an EOS Rebel T3I. With a little reading of the instruction manual on how to use it I was able to take some stunning photos of our trip to Washington DC. I really liked the fold out LCD moniter screen for photo review as well as the auto stabilizer and Auto focus of the lens, which both can be turned on or off. If you want to take pictures like a pro buy a Rebel
Pros: fold out lcd moniter, auto stabilizer auto focus lens, ease of switching lens

Best in its Class

This was my first DSLR. I had always been interested in photography and finally decided to jump in. Initially I was astounded with image quality while shooting in the automatic modes. As I progressed, I found myself shooting in the creative modes. The more I shot with the T3i, the better photographs I produced. This is definitely the best entry level DSLR, even compared to other models. The video mode of this camera is unparalleled. The Vari-angle screen is so much more convenient than I first assumed. The ergonomics of this body are quite splendid. It feels right. Images captured with some L glass are breathtaking. I am now advancing past this body and purchasing a 7D. The T3i is well worth the small price. If I was starting over again, I would make the same choice.
Pros: ergonomics, swiveling lcd, video, lightweight, auto modes
Cons: build quality
