The cartridge does not last as long as I would like. The cartridge is expensive. HP now has the ability to cut off the user if a cartridge subscription lapses. While this is not true for my older printer, it applies to our newer HP printer. This is an unfair business practice. Our next printer will NOT be HP

Wrong cartridge for the second time. Now seems obvious that HP no longer makes the cartridge I need. Someone in the line of 9 people I talked to over a month’s time should have been able to tell me. I’m throwing away the HP printer.

HP Inks for HP Photosmart 5520

These inks are great. They always come out bright and clear. I even use them for pictures. They dry very quickly so there is no smearing. I always keep extras on hand and they do not dry up before they are used. Sometimes they set here for several weeks, depending on how much I print. I print quit a bit since I download a lot of things that have to be printed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't Last Very Long

The regular cartridges won't even make it through one of my husband's 8 week classes for his MBA. And keep in mind that most of what he needs to read is in a text book or on the iPad - so we don't do as much printing now as I did when I was in my undergrad.
The XL cartridges will last through that class - and no further. We're not printing pictures here - and we're not printing often. The cartridges on our last printer made it most of the way through printing all the pictures for one baby book.
Time to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to make these cartidges last longer - or cost less - withouth skimping on print quality.

This is not an XL cartridge! this is your standard skinny cartridge.. Beware if you are looking for the very large black cartridge.

The ink color is satisfactory, but my HP Photosmart Premium Fax Scan Print and Copy printer indicates that the cartridge is ready to be replaced long before it has used up its ink supply.
