amazing for a beginner

After researching dslr cameras for a while, i knew the eos rebel t3 would be the one for me. it was a great price for a dslr camera, and works really well. i love how the camera tells you what each setting does, it helped so much, i was able to understand how to use it well after about a week.if it didn't do that i would have taken so much longer. this camera is great for beginners, but it still takes amazing pictures. i haven't had any problems so far, so if your looking for a camera. this is what i would recommend.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Buy of the Year

I have always had Canon cameras in my life, having used both a EOS 10D and Rebel XSi in art school and my own Powershot. When I looking to upgrade the T3 seemed like the best product within my budget and Canon has never done me wrong. Takes great reference and texture photos and has improved and expanded my collection for future art projects.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: noisy

Great Camera
on May 13, 2012

I received this camera for Christmas (2011) and I love it!
First it has great quality. Even though people have said it has a plasticly feel, I don't agree. It's comfortable when I hold it and its not that heavy.
It also has a lot of good features too like TV (Shutter Speeds) Aperture (amount of bur) and it has video, which is a really good feature for the price.
The battery last a long time even when you use video. It doesn't need to be charged much even though I use my T3 frequently.
Overall, This is a great camera and well worth the money. I look forward to purchasing more products (lens!) from Canon. :)
Pros: great for beginners, great price, great quality
Cons: none yet

I love this camera so much! It's the first camera that I myself have owned. It works so well and the quality of the photographs that it takes is amazing! I was blown away from how crisp and breathtaking the pictures are. I'm very satisfied with this camera and I HIGHLY recommend this camera to anybody wanting to get a professional camera from a phone or smaller camera. Love it!
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: doesn't come with a case

I got this camera with the 18-55mm kit lens and the 75-300mm kit lens in a big bundle which included a flash, a camera bag, two extra batteries, a memory card.. etc.
I had been looking at the T3i before this, but after seeing the bundle and reading dozens of positive reviews, I went with this one.
So far, the battery life is great, the features (although I'm still figuring out Manual mode) are excellent, and the overall camera build is perfect for my small hands.
My only complaints are:
1. the quality in burst mode / when shooting sports (I outdoor rock climb) is not too grand. Lots of blurry images and it tends to turn the flash on in broad daylight--thus throwing me and my friends off the rock.
2. Auto-focus is unbearably slow in live view. Don't even try. The auto focus in the view-finder is much better, although it won't focus quickly (or sometimes at all) on moving subjects!
It may not sound like it, but I do LOVE this camera! I only started photography about 2 years ago, and upgraded to this from a point and shoot. GREAT first DSLR, and I do recommend it for macro photography, portrait photography, etc. Maybe not professional sport photography, but hey! You could certainly make it work with the large number of settings on this camera.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Poor image quality, noisy, low quality burst mode

EOS Rebel T3 the the best camera for beginners who don't really use professional cameras.
it took the greatest pictures i have ever seen and used when i went on vacation last year on December 2012-2013. the menu is really easy to use and the settings explain what they do and which kinds of pictures you should use it on.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Great first DSLR

A friend of mine asked me to show him how to use his new DSLR. After shooting his camera for a couple months I decided to replace my old film SLR with a digital. I checked out several cameras from several brands before picking the T3. Another of my friends is a professional photographer and let me shoot his EOS-1D. Way more camera than I needed, but I liked the concept. I tried all the consumer-level Canon DSLRs and came to the conclusion that the T3 was where the return/investment lines crossed. I could get the T3 with two lenses for the price of a T2i, and the T2i offered only incremental performance increases over the T3. The T3 is the perfect camera for a new DSLR user. It is easy to use, but offers plenty of control for the new photographer to grow into.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation
