I just recieved a Canon 3T for my birthday. I am just a begineer but already I was able to take great shots of my grandson and download them into my computer with just a brief review through the manual. I have only used the automatic modes and I can't wait to do more as I becomw more familiar with the rest of the camera capability
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, manual easy to follow
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Camera for the price

the photo quality for this camera is great. It does good in low light. using the basic lens that you have with this camera will give you all you need for day to day shooting. the battery life for this camera gives you a great number of photos. i can easily take 800 photos on one battery. One of thing i have to say i do not like about this camera is that is does not have a panoramic feature. my point & shot canon does panoramic photos. i was at a wedding for a family member and they did not have a videographer, and i just pulled out my canon T3 and shot the wedding and reception and it came out great. even shooting in low light at the reception the quality turned out great. So i would still have to say this is a great camera for the money and an easy flow from point & shot to an DSLR.
Pros: Quick Start-up time, easy to use, good battery life, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Missing features/settings

Excellent Camera and Video
on December 3, 2012

Great introductory SLR camera with quality video. I love it as an on-the-go camera as it is very flexible for transitioning between photos and videos during events and I always get great shots and 15-20 minute video. The auto-focus can be really helpful in strange lighting, and it shoots incredible in the dark without a flash.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Fantastic Product

I think over all, this is a great Canon! I'm not as advanced as other photographers (yet) but I'm having a blast taking high quality photographs. The kit lens is so so, I would recommend buying just the body and purchase the lens separately.
The quality of the Rebel T3 is fantastic for the price, it's perfect for people who aren't as experienced as others, it comes with a great 'Help' booklet and disk. I highly recommend this!
Pros: fantastic value

Great Entry Level Camera

This is an overall great camera for someone who is inexperienced with professional photography (entry-level). The only thing that I do not like about this camera is the fact that it does not function very well in low-light settings.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, good creativity options
Cons: doesn't function good in low-light

I had this camera for a month and a half im still learning the ways around the camera it has so much features. I'm really glad I had to make this purchase for a photography class because I'm in love with this camera. I think this camera is for beginners who are just starting out or like me updating my equipment and slowly becoming an intermediate photographer.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

After one year
on September 28, 2011

After owning this camera for couple months, i left very enthusiastic review, giving Canon T3 all stars. After almost one year i still like this camera a lot. I'm missing few functions from older models, like sonic CMOS cleaner (T3 has none).
Wireless functions from T3I, like wireless Flash, full HD movie etc are very nice, still do not justify much higher cost. Fit and camera quality is still superb. Canon T3 is underappreciated in most reviews, however with a little talent, sky is the only limit.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: no cmos cleaner

awesome camera

This camera is so awesome. It is a little tricky at first to use, but all complicated things are. After using it a while I figured it out and took nice pictures. I'm very pleased with this camera. I wish we could have bought it a long time ago and took all our pictures with it. The pictures looked real good when put onto the computer. No red eye or distorted pictures.
Pros: awesome camera
