I have only had this camera out and about for one day, (three hours, 32 photos). And can say the photos all came out exceeding my expectations. Nice, clear & sharp with nice color.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I JUST got this camera last weekend for an early Christmas present from my Grandparents and I ABSOLUTELY love it. I take it with me everywhere I go and take pictures of almost everything I see. I can't wait until Christmas to get some amazing shots of my family. The camera has beautiful quality and takes wonderful shots.
Pros: everything.
Cons: the focus is a little slow sometimes.

I bought this camera a little while ago and I have just been waiting for it to disappoint me before I gave it five stars. But it honestly hasn't. My family and I take trips all the time and this is the main reason I wanted a nicer camera and I found that since I have bought this camera I bring it with me everywhere because it takes such great pictures. I absolutely love it.
Also I saw that there was another person who said they could not use their camera with mac. I don't know if they are talking about a macbook or not but I had a 2010 macbook and I just recently got a macbook air and I can plug my camera into both of them. Thats just my experience with it.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, good looking

A nice camera.

I just got my camera this week "T3" and shot over 100 pictures. The pictures are clean and the default lens is not bad. 18-55mm. The problem I have is the loud shutter and long delay in taking the picture. You would think the respnise time would be faster.
I am a newbie to the DSLR cameras so maybe it's just my inexperience so time will tell. So far though I found it a very simple camera to use. :
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: noisy

Good Beginners Camera

I have used XSi, T1i before this. So my feeling is T3 body construction is little cheap when compared to any other SLR's in the market. and the Mode dail is the worst ever I saw on any of the Canon's I owned. Being a Canon lover I am pretty much disappointed with these two feature. Apart from the build quality, it takes good pictures.
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality, no good grip
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Starter SLR
on July 17, 2011

I purchased this as my first SLR, and I am very happy with it. For starters, the full auto mode and non-flash mode are very convenient when you need to take a quick snapshot of something. But you also have the flexibility of manual mode, which is great. It goes up to ISO 6400, which is pretty grainy but allows a very fast shutter speed. However, I wouldn't recommend going past ISO 1600 because of the noise. Another pro is the movie mode, which makes it a step up from the Rebel XS. This is very handy, although there is no auto focus, so you need to know how to manual focus (which is a piece of cake really). The build is good- the camera is quite lightweight but doesn't feel like it's going to break easily. All the buttons are easy to use and fairly clear. The only problem I've had is getting a fast enough and non-grainy shutter speed indoors. I've gotten a few blurry, underexposed, and grainy shots. However, when working outside or holding the camera very steadily, you can definitely get some masterpieces. After all, it's the photographer, not the camera. This offers all of the options for you to take your skills a step up. I recommend it strongly!
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor image quality, noisy

I am enjoying this camera!

I purchased this camera, right before a vacation to CA for Thanksgiving. I own a Canon Rebel XT that is approx. 4 years old. I am in my first college photography class and my photos are 10 times better with my new T3 (IS) than my Rebel XT (without IS). I also purchased the 55-250 (IS) Lens to go with it. I am at the tail end of my college course and I am still learning the ends and outs of all the adjustments (AV, TV, etc). Overall this camera is great for the price. I haven't been able to see a great improvement on camera shake because of the IS. I will get better acquainted with it as time goes by.
Pros: great price easy to use big lcd screen
Cons: haven't seen a big difference with the is
