For an entry level camera I found this to be a good buy. Having researched the alternatives as best I could the canon t3 won out for its wider lens options. The one thing I would like to see is more support for mac os 10.8 since none of the software is compatable which is a bummer. Also more detailed information on what each function does and how to access it would have been greatly appreciated. The pictures I have been able to take with my novice experience has me speachless. I would recommend this to anyone starting out in the field.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Dim LCD, Difficult to use, Complicated controls/menu

Great for beginners who are thinking about taking up photography seriously. Good price, expected a more solid frame. But other than that a great camera.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality

Bought this camera as I was going out of town for a picture trip- had tried another brand DSLR for the past year and just coudn't get over being overwhelmed with all the complicated settings- But this one- I was able to use right out of the box and was able to take great pix even in cloudy/ stormy etc conditions. My faith and confidence are restored- can't wait to use it on an upcoming trip to the Everglades!
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

EOS Rebel T3 18-55mm IS II Kit

I've always used a canon product so dont know how others work. I was able to read and understand the manuel and learn quickly how to use manual settings. Its light and love the lens. I'm a beginner in using a dSLR so if i can learn how to use it, its a good product in my book. Its also pretty durable because ive already dropped mine and it still works fine.

Easy to use and great photo quality and Flexibility to change settings, great lcd display, There is one thing I don't like, That is the SD card is in the same compartment with the battery, Its only a problem if im using my tripod.

Manual Exposure for Movie mode please....

Almost all the features I need in this camera are available in a low price tag but only down point of this cam is i'm not able to manually set the exposure, aperature, & ISO in movie mode. If possible, please release a firmware update to allow the movie mode to be set manually
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Missing features/settings, Heavy/Bulky, no manual exposure in movie mode

Lovely pictures erect from this camera. It is so simple to use. The quality of the pictures in immeasurable. The camera excels in taking pictures without flash in dark or dimmer settings. I would only suggest that the buyer must be able to hold the camera without moving as the pictures will be blurred.
