good camera, previous lens not working
on July 24, 2011

I have always uased Canon camera. I stopped using my 35mm flim Rebel and just bought a digital EOS Rebel. It is a good camera. My only gripe is that my telephoto lens only half-way works with the digitial camera. In the auto format, my lens works fine. However, in any manual format, the camera displays a connect error. I perfer to set my own settings. I am waiting on an email from Canon. I will not be happy if i have to purchase another telephoto lens, when the one i already have is perfectly fine. I would recommend this product to an individual who only perfers to point and shoot.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, easy to use
Cons: compatibility with other canon lenses

I love this camera

This is a great camera, it was a gift to replace my Canon 10d and it did great my lenses off my 10d work just fine. I started with a Rebel 2000 and the transition was very easy. I still prefer film and my Canon AE1 Program is still my favorite camera but this camera is amazing. The bundle that came with the camera made it a GREAT value and you can never go wrong with Canon products.
I used it while on vacation at a famous theme park ruled by a mouse and it took some amazing pictures in a lot of attractions where they say no flash photography is permited and they still came out great. Can't wait to stop at the Grand Canyon on the drive home.
Pros: easy to use, great value, looks awesome

Excellent Beginning DSLR

For my first DSLR camera, the T3 jumped above the rest simply for the extremely appealing price. Although the build quality does not feel up to par while in hand, and the loud, high-pitched shutter sound are quite frustrating, overall, I can say nothing else bad about it. It gets the job done and is just a fun camera to use for the cheap price.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality, noisy

A great Camera

I am an older male that over the years have had numerous cameras. I am not a professional nor do i claim to be, but with this camera you can almost convince peole that you are professional. I have never owned a camera of this magnitude so have missed a lot of pictures over the years. When you miss the oppertunity for a great picture, you will never get a second chance, so you want it right. Whether moving in a car or with poor lighting in a setting or photographing wild life, you have to be happy with this camera.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

At first I was going to go with the eos rebel xs but I was thinking. Why not spend fifty dollars more and get higher quality images, HD video capture, and a little bit more features. So that's the decision I made.
So far, I have had it for about two months and I don't really regret making that decision. It takes great high quality photos, the HD video is pretty good since it's 720p. And not only that, some people complain how Canons feel and build with too much plastic. I personally like the feel of it. It feels durable and I know it is.
The only complaint I have with this camera so far is that it's burst speed is rather slow and sluggish. Compared to the eos rebel xs, it loses.
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: slow burst speed

Excellent product. I purchased this because of a previous purchase of a Canon EOS 650 (film camera) According to a consumer magazine, this EOS 3 was rated better than other brands costing much more---and the EOS 650 lenses work on this digital camera,,,,,,,,Good job/value
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: poor video
