I was happy with my old AE-1. Now that Im in the digital world, I have not found a problem with this camera. its a joy to use.
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I love this camera!
this is in fact my first DSRL camera, its incredibly easy to use, a great price and very energy efficient, i do however wish there was a grip, and that if there is in fact a timed photo feature, i could figure out how to use it...

A Great and Simple Camera

The Canon Rebel T3 is a great and easy to use camera. It has a fast start up and very nice image quality. It has been through rain and it didn't effect it. It is one of the cheaper Canon's out there and it shoots really nicely. I mainly shoot landscape and nature and the modes on the camera help me make the images that I take the best. It is very vivid.

good camera

I like this camera very much and would recomend it to anyone that wants to start with a digital SLR. It has all the features you will need to take great pictures for years to come.I found only one weak point and that was the onboard flash was not strong enough but by adding a better flash its just great.If you would like a great starter camera at a great price this would be the one for you from my point of veiw

Great Utility Camera

I have been using this camera for the past 2 months. I have been very satisfied with the quality of the pictures the camera produces.

I have had this item for about a year and it is the best SLR I have ever owned. It is delightfully easy to use and takes great pictures. I was at a wedding in Chicago recently and my pictures were nearly as good as the professional that was used by the bride and groom.

Very Good Beginner Camera

This is a very good camera and the build quality is very good, yes the camera could be more solid but we are talking about a beginner camera and an entry level camera. I've shopped and did a lot of research and was very pleased on this camera what the pro's and real people were saying about it. I presently bought the Canon ef 40 mom f/2.8 stem and boy what awesome picture that lens and camera is taking. I would highly recommend to get away from the kit lens as soon as you can. There will be a world on a difference. Don't miss out on the quality of this camera, you won't be sorry.

Cons: Missing features/settings, i would'nt say poor build quality but could be bet

Fantastic camera!

I purchased this camera so I could get better pictures in low-light settings. I got the bonus of wonderful close up macro shots of flowers thanks to one lens in the kit, and a whole world of opportunities opened up with the long range lens. I couldn't be happier with the camera - the pictures are so sharp that it's like you're looking at the real thing. I'm looking forward to using it for years to come.
