Durability is Not a Strength, Design Flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely fell in love with this Blend-N-Go! I bought it at a very popular supermarket at it fit my lifestyle perfectly! Unfortunately, one day (after using for a month) I tried to make a smoothie after work, and the while the product was blending I saw it start to smoke from where the end of the cup met the machine. The I stopped it and tried again, and nothing would blend! When I looked at the base, I saw the rubber pieces had burnt out! (A soft rubber mechanism to secure a blender that grinds ice and frozen fruit?) I thought the ice was an issue (in spite of ice being included in the photo and descriptions), although I did not have a problem before. So I chalked it up to possible user error and got a second one. (Really loved the product, huh?) This time I tried to be careful by locking in the cup first and plugging it in after. Unfortunately, I enjoy frozen fruit and a thick drink; the same thing happened after about 2 1/2 weeks. Big let down, and a poor investment. (Threw away the 1st receipt and lost the 2nd, never got a refund). With all of that money, I should have gotten a better model. Lesson Learned: no more silliness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought it to try health shakes. Then I tried it. Works so good I got two others to buy one . Two weeks later I got two more people to buy it. Makes it so easy to let others try the shakes. I think the Oster is going to be placed in a few Christmas stocking this year

AVOID! Broke with first use

This blender broke the very first time I used it! The connection point between the base and the canister doesn't work. Avoid this blender at all costs! I wish I read the other reviews before purchasing.

Very good "BUT" it only lasted one year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a year ago and use it everyday. After one year the motor gave out. I went and bought a new one (I did not remember about the 3 year satisfaction guarantee).

Disappointment

This blender was purchased for smoothies alone..... It worked for a month...then the same thing happened as stated in other reviews. The blades do not turn.. smells like it is going to catch fire! Very poor design on the most important part...Lesson learned... I will do more thorough research before I purchase a replacement blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this daily and absolutely love it. My sister took it to college and the next day I had to go out and buy another one because I could not live without it! It's super easy to use and blends well. It's also a very quick way to make a smoothie.

Hazard!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon using it the first time, the unit started to smoke and plastic fragments started falling out of the bottom. Sadly I had thrown away the receipt, so no refund for me. My suggestion is to look for a mixer that is of better quality to mix up frozen fruit.

Piece of junk not worthy of Oster name

I bought this because it promised smoothies. Well, it worked for the first 2 or three. I overlooked the fact you cannot drink from this unless you want to make a mess. Pouring it into another container was an acceptable trade off for the size I wanted. After just a few times, it seems as if it's pooping out. Smoothies are gross chunks and that's after the kale and spinach were put in pre-chopped! It also smells when used as if something is burning out in the motor. It was a total waste of money.
