We've been using this camera primarily for my son's sporting events and the action snap shots are sweet. It can also record up to 28 min of video which is handy to.

What's great about it: I love how easy it is to set up and use
What's not so great: I wish it came with rechargeable battery pack instead of 4x AA battery!
Best value for your money , get the Nikon quality product with out having to spend soo much money for one , I really love how nice and clear the pictures come out. Of you're thinking about it get it!

I purchased this camera because I wanted a better digital camera then the one I had. I was amazed at how easy it was to take beautiful pictures. I am very pleased with my purchase. I would highly recommend this camera.

What's great about it: lots of capabilities for the price
What's not so great: too much of a hassle to take a simple indoor photo that isnt blurry
I'm a busy mom of 2 who was looking for a nice easy to use camera to take photos of my kids. The camera kept taking blurry photos whenever I shot it indoors unless my kid was perfectly still, which doesn't happen. I did notice an improvement if I turned the flash on (which you have to do manually). The "easy auto" mode still made the indoor photos blurry and I don't have time to reset all the settings before taking a photo so I had to return it for the Canon Powershot G12- a little more expensive, but hopefully will be worth the price.

This is my first Nikon and I am very impressed. I have had this camera for about a month now. With each camera purchase I upgrade. For a Point and Shoot camera, this one is awesome. Use it for everyday life photos and now that Track season is here I plan to test it out on action photos.
The battery life is pretty good even for using AA batteries. I usually keep a back up set just in case but never need them.
I am thrilled with the ease of use, the quality of pictures. If someone wants a quality camera without shelling out the DSLR prices, this is the way to go.
My next upgrade will be to the DSLR family but that's a ways off :)

This is one of the best camera's I have ever used. It takes great pictures and is great for a mom who takes snapshots of every waking moment of their children's lives :) Great photo quality. I would recommend this camera to anyone!!!

What's not so great: poor zoom quality not manually adjustable
This is a good camera for someone who does not want to manually work the camera. The 21x zoom works to a certian point then it turns blurry and won't focus soit renders the high zoom useless. The picture quality is excellent even on the view screen. The zoom is not reallly controlable.

This camera is chock full of every conceivable feature you could ask for...and then some. If there is a feature missing, you probably don't need it. It does it all, and does it perfectly. 21X zoom is phenomenal. Able to read a license plate more than 100 yards away. User manual could be better.

I love love this camera!!! I was deciding between two cameras when I was in Best Buy and the store salesman told me he loves Nikon. So I trusted him and went with this camera after taking some shots right there in the store. The camera works fast and its user-friendly. Takes great pictures at night too!!!! I would recommend this camera for any everyday need. I wish I had more things to take pictures of so I could use this camera all the time!

Purchased this camera for my 16 year old daughter. She will not let me touch it, and I have 2 other professional quality Nikon's. It's her baby, and she loves it. It has all the features that anyone would ever need, and it is extremely easy to use. If you are not used to the way Nikon camera's work, you might take a little while to understand all the features this camera has. But after buying a Nikon, you won't buy anything else. Nikon is extremely picky with their cameras, they make there own lenses, other companies don't do a good enough job, and they want the best. The lenses on their 75 dollar cameras have the same quality as there 5000 dollar cameras, they won't be second best. I've had Nikon's for over 30 years, you won't see a bunch of T.V. ads, they don't need them. The quality speaks for itself.

What's great about it: It feels good in my hand and the pictuers are beautiful.
What's not so great: Probably a little big for some people, but I actually prefer it.
I loved this camera right out of the box. I was looking for something easy but with beautiful pictures. The menu is easy to follow and the features are easy to find. Some cameras have some many features that you can't remember which menu options is for which feature. This one is simple...just what I needed. I love that it is a little bigger. It feels better in my hand. I feel like I can hold it steadier. I also love that is uses AA batteries. I won't have to worry about charging it before I use it. I simply need to be sure to have batteries on hand.
The picture quality is beautiful. I have a young grand daughter and she can't seem to be still long enough to take a picture but this camera does a pretty good job capturing her anyway!.
Overall I am very happy with my decision. I need to practice more to figure everything out and that's the only reason I gave it a "Good" on Ease to use.
