What's great about it: They had it in stock, and it shipped quickly.
What's not so great: Too early to report on any faults, so far, none.
I wanted a spare battery for my new camera, and Nikon's web site told me to check here.
I would have given this item 5 Stars, but I haven't had it long enough to form any real opinions.
It appears to be Nikon OEM and the price was fair, however it seems none of these Lithium batteries are inexpensive.
The buying experience was good, and it arrived right on time.
If you need a replacement battery, I'd say go ahead and get this one, it was a fair deal, and I have no complaints to report.

What's great about it: Fast easy charge
A good backup battery to always have a 2nd one charged and ready to go. Seem to get many shots before it starts to run down.

As the Nikon original battery for my D5100, the price is resonable, even though it is out of stock at most locations. Has good battery time and great performance.

They recommend you completely drain a new battery 3 or 4 times when you first get it to optimize its life. So I went to the zoo and started shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting. I got 1200 shots on a single charge. WOW !

What's great about it: It powers my cameras, and is light weight.
What's not so great: Price is expensive even for a Li-Ion and battery life could be better.
This is the battery that, as of this writing, Nikon uses for the D3100, D5100 and Coolpix P7000 and P7100. The battery life is okay, not great, but it certainly does a competent job.
The SBS chip on this battery that manages charging seems to take 2-3 full cycles of the battery to reach maximum capacity, so before you lug it out on a long trip I'd suggest using it closer to home a few times to get it up to capacity.
Everybody should really own at least one spare - since it doesn't matter how nice your camera is or how skilled you are if you can't shoot because of a dead battery. Also, like virtually all digital cameras, the battery meter is nearly worthless as a side effect of how cameras work, not a design flaw, but it still means you're better save than sorry and carrying a spare.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had to have a spare battery for my trip to the Grand Canyon, thank goodness I never needed it but am glad I had it cause I would not have wanted to need it and not have it and miss the beautiful pictures I got.

I went online, found the battery I wanted in stock and went to pick it up. I needed it quickly so they pickup service was quick and convienient and it is the factory authorized battery so it's compatible with the camera.

Good product, OEM battery. I use this for my Nikon D3100 camera. Since this is a genuine battery it really last long..Need to have reserve battery at all times.

I bought my Nikon D5100 about a month ago and wanted to buy a extra battery for a vacation I was about to take. Even though they say this battery is for the D3000, it is the very same battery that came with my D5100. So it seems it would work in both.

What's great about it: Long life, compact and portable
I purchase this battery charger and extra battery for my 3 week vacation. I only had to recharge/ switch the charging on the batteries 2 times. I carried my camera daily touring Greece. The charger worked well on our sial boat with the European converter- no problem. It's compact nature made it easy to carry everywhere and the charged battery in reserve fits snugly into the charger with no concerns about falling out. The batteries lasted a long time with plenty of warning on my camera to change them out.
I would recommend this to a friend!
