Well Assembled Product

Having filed annual tax returns for over 30 years now in two different countries, I have found using Turbo tax to be straight forward and well guided. Previous to Turbo tax, I had always filed my taxes on my own utilizing the appropriate taxation forms. Even though I was always very thorough and precise, Turbo tax found deductions that I was not aware of on a couple of occasions thus increasing my return. I have used this product for the past 4 years and will continue to do so in the future.

Some of the forms are TOO detailed for the information that needs to be provided to the IRS.
Program is trying to be all things to all user and gets confusing.

What's great about it: All forms and worksheets are included. Handling of different income is easy.
What's not so great: Too many categories where not applicable. Should have an interview to determine which forms need to be filled out.

An easy way to get your taxes done and e-filed for a quick refund if you have one. I do feel that HELP could be better. going through all those questions and answers is a pain.
What's great about it: Ease of doing taxes
What's not so great: Not being able to go back in years to collect information

While the boxes are very easy to fill in and TT does all the calculations, it is hard to know if you have entered the right information. I THINK that is how I should have calculated some of my expenses for a deduction - but without a professional to sit with me, how would I know? If your tax information is straightforward, this is absolutely the product for you. Once you get into more complicated areas, you have to have the nerves for it. I am extremely concerned that the audit meter was so high, but I entered everything to the best of my ability.
What's great about it: easy to fill in the necessary information
What's not so great: not sure if I entered all the data correctly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Gives all possibilities and let's you decide what you want to do. What will give you the best refund or pay the least taxes.
What's great about it: Simple to look at all possibilities.

Hated print program

Did not like when I went to print return to mail the first 2 pages were nothing but ksdladf9werh. How do you like trying to read that???? If you can not get the program like it used to be. Where when you wanted to print your return for mailing it was printed for mailing. Please cancel my order from now on. This is a sample of the first page

Great Program

I've used Turbo Tax for a few years now. I like the fact that the program walks you thru completing your return step by step. I also like the fact that it makes you aware of many deductions you may not know are available.
