Easy & Accurate

Easy to install, easy (mostly) to use. The program does a great job of checking & re-checking to make certain every possible deduction and/or credit that is available has been utilized. The only real problem I experienced is that some of the questions are confusing AFTER reading the explanations. The question is simple enough, but after reading the explanation you are not sure if you should answer yes or no. But it is a great program and got us an excellent refund from both Feds & State!
What's great about it: Very easy to use and (mostly) easy to understand
What's not so great: Some of the questions seem a little ambiguous and require very careful reading to answer correctly

Awesome tool

Yet another year comes around and we have these things called Taxes to do. Turbo Tax has been my choice for the past 14 years and have never been let down. This is an excellent tool to use to do my, and my children's taxes.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to understand
What's not so great: -none

1040 By Myself

The step by step guidance makes filling in the 1040 form much easier than working with the paper and calculations. Importing the W-2 and banking information saves time and is accurate. After finishing all of the steps, I can review the actual 1040 form to be sure all looks correct. e-filing is convenient and in past years my refund was deposited much faster than the old snail mail. My taxes are done!
What's great about it: Easy step by step and importing W-2
What's not so great: Pricing items donated to charity is awkward, but works

For my personal time saved, the cost of using TurboTax is well worth the investment.
What's great about it: Data entry and walk-throughs help me see what I am doing as it goes
What's not so great: I am less likely to ask a computer a side question that might make a difference

This is my second year filing three different state returns and my first dealing with the Arizona/Virginia issue. If the tax software knows that you can't deduct Arizona taxes paid on a Virginia return, a) why is it an option to select AZ, and b) why doesn't the non-resident AZ form interact with the VA form? It took me 10 minutes of clicking back and forth between returns to figure out that I needed to treat all of the income as VA and not report the taxes paid to AZ on my VA return, only to AZ. Other than that, it was remarkably easy to do.
What's great about it: Always fast and easy to get multiple states
What's not so great: The state returns don't interact with each other

T & T (TurboTax) is everyone's friend!

It is more user friendly than when I started using it several years ago. Processes the information quickly, while giving you optional choices to file your taxes. The program provides support throughout the process and tops that off with an offer to provide auditing assistance if needed for years to follow. I literally blew my breathe in relief when I pressed the transmit button.
