Love it! - More time for Ridin'

TurboTax gets better every year. Have been a customer for 10+ years. Never had a problem, and is easy to save and return later for continuing. Would not use another product. GREAT JOB! TurboTax.
What's great about it: Step by Step - Can you read? and Follow Instructions?
What's not so great: Back up one screen button sometimes takes you back to beginning of section..

Faster is Better

A little time consuming for a first time user. Hopefully next year will be faster. Very accurate and thorough. the biggest problem I had was trying to get this review to load! Everybody must be using Turbo Tax and I can see why. Now I'm gonna go do my Son's Taxes. 1040A should be a piece of cake!
What's great about it: Great to be able to go back and edit at any time. I'll love the fast refund!
What's not so great: Have a lot of different W-2s and a pain to enter each one.

Appreciate Turbo Tax

Thank you Turbo Tax for helping us, common people, prepare our taxes at home. You guide us through each step. If we have questions we can go, type it in, and receive possible answers right away. We also appreciate the reviews and final checks the program provides when we think we are finished. I really trust and feel this program meets our needs and gets us our best returns.
What's great about it: We really appreciate how this program walks us through each step. I like how it can transfer last year's information.
What's not so great: Sometimes I get confused as to where to put college classes taken for teaching certificate renewal.

Easier than paper filing

I've been using TurboTax since 1994 when it was MacInTax. It's always been a solid, reliable way to enter and file tax forms. I feel confident that what I enter will be filed correctly with the IRS and State revenue offices. There are times when I would like it to coordinate better with Quicken, though. And when I'm trying to figure out whether I'm supposed to have a particular form, or where a particular number originates from, I'd like a better way to navigate to just what I need. The search function is very thorough, though, and I do eventually find my way where I need to be.
What's great about it: Walks you through the steps, guides you through instructions
What's not so great: Hard to navigate when you need to get to a specific form

I helped a friend set up her tax software from a well known vendor, and it was a pain! I'm glad I've stuck with Turbo Tax.

What's not so great: 1099R statement of annunity from OMP is difficult to submit because of RIRA using same form plus taxable income is not

Slightly More Complicated

I tried the free version and the purchased version of Turbo Tax to see if there was a difference in my return.
Both came out with the same amount.
The free version is simpler to understand though
What's great about it: Help offered in all situations
What's not so great: Free version software was actually better
