They have a long way to go,They quote Tax Laws from the irs,most people are layman who use this system they need to find someone who has the knack to translate this to common English because most people may be missing deduction,and there people they have on call to help I did not find,only thing I found was if you pay more money they will help.I hope they continual to improve the program because if they want to charge you for the help then maybe it better to pay someone to do the tax's
What's great about it: Ok System
What's not so great: problem they dont have clear answer,they only quote the tax law

Turbotax is a welcome to filing by longhannd which I did for years. I've been usiing turbotax for the ast 4 years.
What's great about it: Good guidance thru the red tape of the goveernment, glad your'e doing it and not me.
What's not so great: Didn't fine any cons.

Only one Bump

It was easy to use until I got to the State portion and the "Prior Year Tax" with a box to fill in---but had no clue and no instructions included to what exactly I was to enter here. When I switched to "Go to Form" from the "interview" process, it told where this information could be found on last years' return ! Sure wish they had included that little 'help' statement on the Interview portion of Turbo Tax. Would have saved a lot of time.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: One problem with State

This is my third year in using Turbotax. Previously, I was paying way to much to professionals. This software covers everything I need. I like accuracy review and the audit analysis review.
What's great about it: very easy with the walk through questions

Fed filing is exceptional - State not so much

Not much to say about the Federal filing... it is exceptional as always! Not so for the Maine state return, most data had to be re-entered. Also, when reviewing the forms, inputs which require a 0 or a 1 showed fragments... eg. .25742 I wonder what that is all about?
Overall, a wonderful product as expected.
What's great about it: Federal filing is easy and fast!
What's not so great: Maine State return is cumbersome... had to re-input most data

I have been filing my taxes using a software program ever since the software was written to run on DOS!!! This program just keeps getting better and easier!

could be better. When I wanted to check on information, it was difficult. Back button doesnt bring you to previous page. Spent too much time looking for the page i wanted.
What's great about it: step by step instructions
What's not so great: when you go back, the previous page isnt there, making changes burdensome
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used turbotax for a number of years and has been a pretty straightforward process considering the complexity of filing taxes. Would recommend product to anyone.
