Only Tax Software for me

I have used Turbo Tax for years and couldn't be happier. I love It's Deductible for charity donations. That program is available year round.

My Turbo Tax Review

Turbo Tax enabled me to file sooner. Instead of trying to determine which additional forms to complete, Turbo Tax did everything for me.
What's great about it: Best tool to use. Can't believe I had trepidations about usuing it.
What's not so great: No Cons. Better than trying to manually fill in all those forms.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have recommended it to my friends and they are excited about using it to. Easy to understand and maneuver through.

Fast, Simple and Reliable

This was the first time I have ever used TurboTax. Installation was simple and fast. Each section walked you through step by step. SIMPLE!! :) I will use again next year.
What's great about it: Walks you through the whole return. No tax experience needed to complete Federal & State returns

TurboTax Is Easy, Tax Laws Are Complicated.

I have used TurboTax for many, many years and have experienced the improvements made each year. The tax laws are complicated, but for me, and the many years of doing taxes, this is pretty straight forward. I don't have too much that's new.
What's great about it: The interview guides you through the process making it easier.
What's not so great: Does not alphabetize the list of charities from the prior year.

Will never use again

I've used TurboTax for many years, but this will be the lost. In the early days I could use the program and have a good idea on how it was filling out the forms below. As the years went by the connection between EasyStep and the forms got further away. Today its to the point where the answers go into this black box and you have NO idea what is going on. For example, when you import tax information from a broker, or bank, there is no way to display this information to see it or check it. The data just "magically" gets to the forms it needs. Great when it works, but many times I have a need to change information, and good luck with that.
In the end it took far more time to figure and override TurboTax, than if I just figured out from scratch. I need a program that guides me through the forms, not one that tries to out-think me while at the same time using data from questions that are less than clear. In an effort to become "smart" TurboTax has gotten very annoying and dumb.
What's great about it: Better than doing it by hand
What's not so great: Getting around this program is cumbersome at best
Pros: I bought or sold investments
