Couldn't file because TurboTax couldn't accept SSN

At the very last page TurboTax asked for what it called "missing" information, my own SSN. When I entered the number, it kept taking me back to the page that said this information was missing, so I had to keep entering my SSN, but it never completed the form and I had to end up preparing documents to mail in instead. This was very frustrating, since I know my own SSN and the system wouldn't accept it. Very poor.
What's great about it: Made it seem easy
What's not so great: Wouldn't allow e-file

Painless

I hate doing taxes but after 30+ years of using TurboTax it's less painless and I feel very comfortable with my taxes to the IRS
What's great about it: very helpful
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I use this every year because of the simplicity. I thought it said I got one free state filing. I submitted two, and was charged for two. I'd like a refund if this is accurate. Thanks!

Difficult to find the "delete" button for duplicate entries; info on downloads entries not exact
What's not so great: difficult to follow, download options come at the end not the beginning

Been using TT for years and it just works.
What's great about it: Simple, straight forward, easy to understand
What's not so great: Turbo tax is getting a little pricey for me.

This product is very easy to use- saves loads of time and seems to be thorough- I recommend it!
What's great about it: step by step process, fairly easy to go back to previoius section, can save and restart at any time
What's not so great: does not show cost to e-file state very small print, does not provide the best instructions for not e-filing state

best tax program

I have been using turbo tax since 2010 when I realized I was paying too much for tax preparations for my wife and I, our son and daughter. Returns have been thorough and complete without any difficulties and even when including the e filing fees for all 4 returns, it is still less than I was paying a tax preparer to do taxes. The importance of a good tax return comes down to 2 things: good record keeping of all your tax deductions throughout the year in an itemized list, and turbo tax. You keep the accurate documentable records of deductions and turbo tax maximizes your return for you.
What's great about it: quick n easy
What's not so great: can't think of any
