I downloaded the program so that I could do my taxes and my moms taxes. I paid by charge, but they charged us again at the end when we submitted the tax forms.
Also, the first time I tried to write a review, the page froze my computer up, I guess that's one way of not getting bad reviews.

I love Turbo Tax. I have used it for 14 years. It helped me do our taxes when my husband had a home office. I got all the deductions I could have if someone prepared my taxes, but at a fraction of the cost. I love the buttons 'Explain this' and the links that give you the tax law to support making the correct choice. I was able to print those to keep with my taxes to explain why I made the choice I did if ever I got audited. I love Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Easy to use. Walks you through all steps.
What's not so great: I can't think of any.

Direct Deposit

Does not transfer bank account numbers to state form for direct deposit. Nor does it ask for the numbers for the state form for Direct Deposit. I had to go to the forms view and enter the information. It should be asked when doing the state return and if yes for direct deposit it should transfer the numbers given on the federal form..

In Washington we have a state rate then we have a local rate. Keeping that in mind I can travel in a 50 mile radius and have five or more tax rates different from where I live. The sales tax rate can vary by as much as 1% or more. That makes it difficult when your general rate is 9.5% but make a major purchase at 8.6%, the program wont let you.
What's great about it: Been using over 10 years
What's not so great: area of sales tax deduction

Not At All Taxing Prep & Filing

We have used Turbo software for our taxes for the last 8 years. Each year it is better and easier to follow along. we have given all children each their own Turbo Tax software. As we have found it is worth the cost both in time and information as well as ease in completing both State and Federal taxes and also the filing for both.
What's great about it: Easy to follow along, Clear and concise info and advice. tax guidence accurate
What's not so great: Final preview printing of taxes for filing not easy to find.
