Awesome program

I use Turbo Tax every year. It is easy to use and the program guides you through every possible avenue for a better refund. You can easily prepare multiple refunds. I use it for my self and my kids. They think Mom is a tax pro!! It is an inexpensive way to get your taxes done in the privacy of your own home. You don't have to go to someone else's office to sit and wait for help. Help is at your fingertips. Awesome program.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. I use Turbo Tax year after year and always get the best refund with little work.

We get the cost benefit- Turbo Tax does the Work!

We used to pay 10x the amount we pay for Turbo Tax to get our taxes done! That says it all!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax - accesses last years records! What a time saver!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The help section could use a lot more work. It should be broken down into specific sections. It is very frustrating to try typing in your question to have generic answers pop up and then read through all the generic answers and not find what you were looking for. The contact Customer Service link is a joke. A telephone number on the contact page would be a definite plus. I have been using turbotax for about 17 years now and getting to a live person is becoming more of a problem (just finding out how to contact a live person is a chore). That is my only real complaint about Turbotax. I love the product and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: not being able to find a telephone number to talk to a live person
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Problems with Turbotax

Does not let you enter simple information directly.
Makes imputing simple information as mile deduction very complicate. It should ask do you want to use IRS standard mileage deduction or want to deprecate the vehicle used for Tax purpose.

YOU ASK TO MANY UNNECESSARY QUESTION MAKING THE PROCESS LONG AND COMPLICATED.
What's great about it: Does the arithmatic correctly
What's not so great: Very combersom for a 1040A tax resturn

can't file

can't zip code for the e-file because it won't accept the "Defense finance and accounting Service" used 40742-7130 and your system says it won.t work, zip came from my 1099R
