I've used TurboTax for nine years and have been extremely satisfied with the refunds generated by this software program. It's also comforting to know that they have enough confidence in their system to offer legal backup if there are problems with your return. Of course that costs extra, but human error is always a possibility. I've never paid for legal advice and have never needed it. TurboTax is worth the purchase price and you can deduct that cost on your return anyway.
What's great about it: Considers every tax law enacted
What's not so great: It's kind of redundant in several places

Great Overall Fed & Tax Review

Although I am a Finance Guy with close to 30 years experience in Finance & Accounting, the tax side of the business was never one of strong suites.
Turbo Tax made this easy, safe, understandable, and convenient.

2013 wrap up

Knowing all the latest IRS advice and forms are are sought out and loaded on every TurboTax start up, is very reassuring. The news and political pundits give me a headache in trying to discern how changes affect me, but TurboTax has already worked it out. WHEW
What's great about it: Love the form updates and straight-forward question/answer prompts.
What's not so great: Ask me to verify I have all year end tax payer documents collected.

TurboTax....The only way to file your taxes.

Ten years of great service with only 1 bad experience. The problem I had seemed to be happening to a lot of people so I don't feel so bad. After nine years of perfection, the grief was quite unexpected. After three tries your support center pages got me through the problem.
What's great about it: I loved everything about the program. Been using it for the last 10 years. The only thing easier is falling off a log.
What's not so great: 2013 version caused a lot of grief with a 1603 error but I finally got it to run and then it ran great.

2013 Returns

Why can't you offer a package with both the Fed and State electronic filing include?
I wonder if there are that many filings of a Federal return without the State needing to be required.
Other than that I have used the TurboTax for many years and plan to continue using your product.
What's great about it: TurboTax for the federal was bigger and better
What's not so great: The additional fee to file the State Returns still bugs me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Great experience as usual

Great experience as usual. My only "con" is that W-2G information cannot be copied and same information must be entered over and over again (i.e. casino name, address, FIN & tel.) Last year I could copy and paste, but this year the program would not recognize this.
What's great about it: Easy & unintimidating

Taxes can be a daunting task, but TurboTax makes it easy. It walks you through the process with a series of questions. If you need more information on a topic, a link to more info is right there. Tax tips and advice pop up on your screen. Don't know which receipts to gather? You can always hunt them down as TurboTax asks you for them. The on-line filing is easy, and you'll get your refunds sooner.
What's great about it: It walks you through everything. Just answer the questions!
What's not so great: It is so easy that I have sat down to just load the program and ended up finishing my taxes!

luv turbo tax

I have used turbo tax for about 6yrs now. so easy to use. now I have four of my co-workers using turbo tax . before they have paid hundreds of dollars to have their taxes done and found mistakes. they have received more refund and no mistakes using turbo tax. luv turbo tax.
What's great about it: very easy
What's not so great: none
