Yeah! My 2013 taxes are done!!!!

Excellent software package. Love the idea of being able to go back and forth and add info that I might not have input initially. There does seem to be a bug in the Error Check process. As I entered my PIN, birthdate, and today's date, the program kept saying that the date was of the wrong format. After jumping out of that loop I found that the real error was on a Schedule E. Again on the plus side, you can easily discern the impact of updating deductions or making IRA contributions when things aren't looking quite so good. I would recommend this package to all......and I have already. This package makes suggestions and recommendations that my last CPA didn't even suggest. And that professional(?) cost me a bundle!! Never again. The CPA before that was fine and very knowledgeable, but still cost me a lot more than TurboTax........and there was always a delay of some kind....usually taking the process down to the wire.
What's great about it: Navigation thru the process is very intuitive and easy.....and you can go back again and again to check what if's.
What's not so great: There is a bug in the error check routine.......it kept telling me that my date was incorrect for the signature......
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: Would like to be able to print screens...like It's Deductible but can't.

Fewer automatic features than before

As usual, TurboTax was easy to use. My tax situation is not complex; but, it is still a snap to complete my tax return is under two hours. It may have been me; but, it seemed that the program did not automatically display the forms that I filled out the previous year to remind me what data I may need for this year. I received my tax refund in about two (2) weeks.
What's great about it: Intuitive, easy to use, data download function
What's not so great: Fewer forms/data from previous year automatically displayed

Easy Peasy

I have used TurboTax for the past 10 years. It is easy to follow and doesn't allow you to forget anything or skip based on the answers you provide. One answer leads you to the next question. The computations are done for you and are instant! I was concerned about doing my own taxes for 2013 because we sold a home, moved to another state, and had pension and IRA issues because we retired. TurboTax made it so easy once again! I recommend it to everyone!!
What's great about it: Line by line guidance and additional info if needed

One form for NYC that was used the previous year that we did not have to use this year came out on the screen as an error and it asked to fill it but we did not need it this year. We had problem to therefore delete that uneeded form, but we did it finally.
