TurboTax forgot to ask the right questions

I gave TurboTax a poor rating because it failed to ask me the correct questions and to properly allocate my state tax refund amounts. I was divorced in 2013 and my state tax refund should have been allocated between my return and that of my ex spouse. Unfortunately TurboTax did not ask me about my divorce even though I checked the divorced box. It allocated the whole state tax refund to my return which I then e-filed. Unfortunately that is not the correct way to do it, something I found out later while doing my ex spouse's return by calling the IRS. Now I have to file an amended return and that is not very easy to do in TurboTax. The refund should have been allocated between the two returns in the proportion to which each party paid. Turbotax overlooked this and, if I don't file an amended return, I will have paid more taxes than I should have by several hundreds of dollars.
What's great about it: Should be easy but wasn't
What's not so great: Forgot to ask me the necessary questions or provide guidance

One deficiency in the program cost me an extra our to do it on the form.
What's great about it: Easy and efficient
What's not so great: On 1099 R no calculation of Taxable Amount

What's not so great: Put the next page button at top and bottom of ea page
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Didnt find last years return

thought last years retun would be found by Intuit since I used it last year at online site on cretid union's site, but had to manually input all information again. Also when I tried to enter code off W2 to import, it gave error message and kicked me to manually enter W2 info.
What's great about it: simple and easy to follow
What's not so great: w2 import didnt work didnt find last years return

Clear and concise

If you have never done taxes before, it can be overwhelming - even with TubroTax. If you have some experience, TurboTax makes it very intuitive and methodical. The 'Explain This' button is grat - you can find the details when you want them and it explains issue in plain english.
What's great about it: Detail when I wanted it, concise when I did not want the detail - straight forward
What's not so great: few odd items can be hard to find - but online help was useful

Best I could ask for

Turbo Tax is my life savior. Filing a tax return is always a stressful time for me because I'm not always sure what information is needed, but Turbo Tax gives me all of the help I need and explains everything so that I can get the biggest refund possible.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate
What's not so great: None
