Easy Filing

Could not find out have to transfer information from a 1099-S.
Had to make some educated guesses. We needed more specific information.
Also I have always had trouble on schedule E, Part 1, line B, filling in a description in line or box A. It would be great if you could override and be able to type in a description.
What's great about it: Good and detailed explainatiions
What's not so great: needed more help with a 1099-S

Review on Inputting information

In using TurboTax I find that I it much faster to get results as in gathering the information for figuring my taxes and getting a tax preparer to enter my figures in their program I save a lot of time and money. Does not make sense using a accountant or tax preparer unless you have a complicated return such as a business.
What's great about it: I have been using an Independant but I find all they do is use the information I give them. I can do that in Turbo Tax
What's not so great: I find that I don't need to figure Medical Expenses but do it anyway

This is the most excellent method of filing a tax return whether you have a simple return with no deductions or a more complicated dual return with deductions. What's to complain when it is so easy can to just click buttons?
TurboTax is fast, east, safe, totally acceptable to the IRS AND you get your refunds so-o-o much quicker.
If I'd invented TurboTax or written the programming, I'd be a wealthy man.

Got a good refund

One of the best products out there and I love that the whole family can use it without having to buy sepret ones. Have been getting this product for years now. Only problem was I had to leave the program (ran out of ink in my printer) and came back the next day. It couldn't find my return that I had saved so I started to do it all over again and it started giving me diffrent information then before. Closed it out a restarted and then it could find my previous return. don;t know if it was the program or my computer.
What's great about it: I got a great refund and it walked me through all the steps
What's not so great: Had to reload it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Happy with Turbo Tax again in 2013

As stated above we are very happy with TT and have used it for many years with continued success in preparation of the federal and state (when needed). TT has all the software that asks all the right questions--we just have to accumulate the necessary documents and we also use Quicken which makes our job much easier!! Keep up the fine product and support!!
What's great about it: Easy to use, plenty of guidance, and up to date.
What's not so great: Nothing that we dislike with TT!

I found it difficult to return to parts of the form that was computed by the computer. Also, it was hard to understand how the numbers were computed. It was definitely better than trying to do it by hand. Next year will go better!
What's great about it: User friendly, did computations for me,
What's not so great: Hard to understand some of the terms.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Please fix the printing so it will print directly from Turbo Tax as it did in prior years or I won't be buying turbo tax next year.
What's not so great: printing only through Adobie reader.
