I have been longtime Turbo Tax user -- almost 25 years -- and have seen it change drastically over the years. Having said that, it is time to bring it into the 21st century with the ability to make the source documents part of the .PDF file. As the questions are asked, this can be done by scanning or taking pictures with a smartphone. The next step would be to read these documents then plug the data into the correct pew. Scanning/taking pictures then incorporating them into the .PDF file should be something that is incorporated into the 2014 version since that technology is readily available.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: need to bring it into the 21st century technology
Looks like you are intent on selling the State E-file. There was no clear place to print the pages for "mailing" the state return. Using Windows 8 made it difficult for the final review and printing.
What's great about it: Easy to use until the end
What's not so great: Difficult to find where to print state return
I value and trust Turbo Tax to provide my best and safest return! I'm not especially skilled at doing taxes, but I understand the questions, answers, and recommendations I get from Turbo Tax.
For the price, it's great! I also get the audit services. I feel safe with Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: I value and trust Turbo Tax to provide my best and safest return!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
