Overall a great program... and will likely use again in CY2015 (for CY2014).
Comparisons to previous years was insufficient, as import of *.t12 file did not appear to be complete/accurate, and program did not offer to import other (prior) years of returns (i.e. *.t11 and *.t10) for a history.
What's great about it: Very helpful and easy to follow along
What's not so great: Program seemed to struggle with import of my 2012 HRBlock TaxCut file
I have used this product for several years now. I am always pleased that immediately my information is extracted from the previous year's return. It is also refreshing that the questions are detailed and methodical to help insure all possible information for income and deductions are presented. The language is simply enough that you don't have to scratch your head to understand. If you need additional prompts or clarification that is available as well. It is also good to know that there is an online community to help as well. I'm not savvy when it comes to technology, but I am very comfortable using Turbo Tax. If I can use it, anyone can.
What's great about it: Questioning process.
What's not so great: Nothing immediately comes to mind.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
User friendly, but too much "friendly filler" which is VERY time consuming. We live in a state which does NOT have a state income tax, but get shamelessly bombarded with requests to do our "state taxes" (the program "knows" that), and takes many clicks to but the issue to bed. The same story with "audit protection", one "NO" click should be sufficient. But again, multiple "NO" clicks. I've used Turbo Tax for years now, they do a lot of things right. But the time to get through the tax prep. is doubled due to the "chafe". I recommend the program, but you "really" need to be in a good mood, to start your "experience".
What's great about it: Easy of Use
What's not so great: Takes up too much time with redundancy
