better than an accountant

we were paying a huge fee to an accountant to do our taxes. I was doing all the leg work. turbo taxes allows me to save money and have confidence that tax info up to date & reliable

In the end, it messed up the refund deposit

The program makes doing taxes simple and it takes all the guessing out of the preparation. However, in the end there should be a window with filing options E file both, or either e file Federal and mail state or vise versa. At first, the program suggest e file both or Fed first and State later. At that point or before there should be options given to E file Fed and mail state or mail Fed and E file State or mail both. As a result of the current program, at the e file section, there was no guidance on State mailing so I printed the return, Unknown and unfortunately my account information for direct deposit was not on the State return. I mailed it and it appears I'm going to get a debit card. Suggest you revise the program prior to the E file section and add a window with submission options up front for Fed/State/local Govt. filings and guidance on subsequent screens.

If I have to file taxes, TT is a good way to do it. A bit verbose at times, but good at directing me where I need to be.

Easy to follow instructions almost make filing your taxes a pleasure. If there is an easier, less expensive way to do it I haven't found it yet!
