Wanter to eliminate 1 w-2 because of retirement. Eliminated 1st one thinking it was with primary filer and it was wrong one. Should include name with prompt do you really want to delete W-2??
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
I used this on a Mac for the first time, had a problem transmitting the returns but when I rebooted the computer they went through with no problem.
During the review, one error was found where I had to answer the question with yes or no but there was no explanation for the question. I had to look it up on a different website.
An IRA 1099r from one bank that we closed the account and took the check to another bank for a roll over is listed in the Turbo tax as income was confusing... I did later say we would not be taxed for this money....Was a bit confusing for me...
I chose to E-file Federal return and mail state return. Got to the final step in preparing Fed return and hit the transmit button, and got an error message that return couldn't be validated at the Intuit filing center, and I should check for program updates. I did so, there were none to be installed. TurboTax still wouldn't complete the E-file transmission. So I ended up mailing my Fed return.
What used to take me days of reading tax pamphlets and trying to understand tax gibberish, now takes me a couple hours of sitting and answering simple questions and filling in the blanks. I love this program for the time it saves and the headaches it prevents.
