TurboTax asks all the right questions to lead me in finding all my info for the biggest return possible. I've used TurboTax for 10 straight years, after leaving the nationally know tax preparer. The first year, I doubled up and used both. But the "pros" couldn't find me anything that TurboTax didn't, so I made the switch for good.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments
My 2013 Federal return was rejected due to incorrect PIN # and/or 20121 AGI. I received a prompt and courteous reply from the phone representative. The entire process took less than five minutes
I love using turbo tax, because it is a lot easier than the paper form of taxes, walking you through the steps that pertain to you. No headaches. The only thing that I would change is that the more info and help buttons do not always provide sufficient information.
Schedule D guidance was unclear that 'Box A' transactions included short-term and long-term sales that were fully reported to the IRS (similar complaint about 'Box B')
This is the easiest tax program that I have ever used. It takes you right through everything you need to know. When you think you have a question, it is usually answered before you click next. A joy to do such a good job with such an unpleasant subject.
