I've used TurboTax for many years and this version is better than the previous. I find the complexities of filing taxes very daunting but can move through the forms with good efficiency using this program. So gotcha from my state - I now have to keep records of internet sales because I have to remit the non-state paid use tax. The program led me through that process...
The 1099-B references Boxes D & E being checked whereas TurboTax references only boxes A, B, and C. The clues in the dropdown box directed me to the proper area for input and it ultimately went to the correct location on the form. Additionally, TurboTax indicates the IRS requires all transactions be listed. When these are transferred to the state form, all transaction references must be re-input with address for each. This is extremely time consuming. As a result, I could not e-file my state tax due to the total no. of Income references even though they were a result of various transactions from he same income source.
