The glitch was that it stated an update was needed to the program, but there was nothing to update. It wouldn't let me file until I shut down the computer and restarted the program again. It was frustrating. Everything else was great about the e-filing.

Taxes/Refunds That Are Dependable

I have been using TurboTax for years and have never had my returns questioned yet I also don't feel like I'm leaving money on the table. Almost all my questions are answered in the step by step help pop ups.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Been using Turbo Tax for years and would not use anything else. I tried once a few years ago and the refund was $600 lower with the other product. It's the best.

Took forever to transmit return

Would not transmit completed return. Kept getting message that I needed to update. Every time I tried to update I got a message saying: "No tax form updates at this time." Kept trying to update..saved...went back in...kept at it. After several tries, gave up.This was extremely frustrating. Message said that if it didn't work I should print and mail return (after giving credit card info for State tax return). Just got out of computer completely for a while. Next time even after trying to update (as requested) there were no updates to be had, but the transmission finally went through. First time using TurboTax that this happened.

Automatic high price

It's great that each years information keeps moving along with you electronically. The actual tax preparation is solid and reliable
Years ago the automatic renewal price was a low price and there were useful freebies, not just Quicken every year. I forgot to cancel it so I paid twice as much as they offer it through some of their resellers.
