Turbo Tax works well

I'm able to complete the work of entering info pretty easily. I can see the refund up above and do some what if trials to see how it impacts the refund. The help pop-up boxes are usually easy to understand with not too much accountant language. I e-file the Fed; mail the State return. I've been using it since 2008.
I make over $120K and don't own a home. So I obviously can't itemize deductions. Turbotax should take a completely separate line, or sequence, always assuming that I took the standard deduction and so all those questions about Charity giving, etc…, that simply can't be taken unless you itemize, which you already know I can't, should not be asked. I spent a lot of time searching the web for how much I can claim, only to discover you are asking me to enter an about that doesn't apply because I am not itemizing deductions. It triggers a major "STUPID" alert that should be fixed.
1. had trouble removing an entry but found solution in help.
2. Did not provide alternative method for capturing mileage deduction for charity (gas and oil expense alternative), which would have given me about $400 in additional deductions.
When checking out I was charged a state filling fee first then was told I could not E-file, I had to call a Indian call center and get a refund. Your number should have been listed instead of taking three steps to get it. That said the charge should have taken place on acceptance or on transmittance not pay up front before the job was complete.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
