Easy to use as usual

The 1099-B from Fidelity says, " Long-term transactions for which basis is not-reported to the IRS -- report on Form 8949 with Box B checked and/or Schedule D, Part II".
Your 8649 and /Schedule D do not have a provision for Box B on long-term capital gains. So, I used the Box D option. Perhaps this is the fault of Fidelity's form.
What's great about it: Everything was well thought out and simple to navigate.
What's not so great: Possible glitch for reporting Long Term Capital Gains

Very consistent every year

TurboTax has been my tax software of choice since 1996. Always very straight-forward and consistent. Easy enough for a beginner or the experienced preparer.
I did find one error in the Kansas software and it was difficult to tell someone about it.

Complicated Same Gender marriage

My spouse and I live in Indiana, but were married in Vermont. Turbo Tax walked me through all the complications for filing as married with the US, but having to file as single in Indiana. Plus, we bought a new house and rolled over some 401k money! Super easy and affordable. Thanks!

Easy as pie

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. In the past when I did them by hand it was a total mess with having to use calculators scratch paper and erasers.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax does all the math
What's not so great: I live in Fl. So I don't need the State Tax software.
