What's great about it: Good detail and good help boxes
What's not so great: A couple of items were a bit confusing only because I am a ferderal Retiree

Quick & Accurate

I have used TurboTax for several years and this was the easiest and quickest I have ever completed my taxes. Everything was straight forward, well explained, well executed and everything was easy to fill out.
The one thing I would like to see in future years is the ability to see if filing in different categories would save me money. i.e. married filing joint/married filing separate, and so on.

TURBO TAX has just gotten better and better over the years I have been using it. 2013 was the easiest returns I have filed.
What's great about it: Led me through all of my deductions

e-filing Problems

Everything was working great until I decided to e-file my returns. I tried to do them all at once and the program had a major brain glitch. I had to file my state stuff first individually and then file the federal individually.
It was trial and error on my part, but there was a panic about not being able to file all at once. First time I've had a problem with the software.
What's great about it: quick tax prep
What's not so great: e-filing had some big glitches
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

said updates were needed to efile. i installed updates and it still said unable to efile due to updates

Turbo Tax- Safe and Simple

Have used TurboTax for a decade now and have never run into any problems with the IRS. Software is simple and easy to use. As long as you have all the necessary paperwork on hand, you can complete your taxes in under 3 hours.
What's great about it: Guides you the maze known as Tax Season
What's not so great: Have to sign up for itsDeductible
