What's great about it: enter data once, guided entry, explanations
What's not so great: non - grat package

barely adequate

It took 4 tries before the e-filing would work. The program seems barely functional. There were several things that the program missed, that if I wasn't sure I needed to find, would have been missed. I was entering several small charitable deductions, and the tax amount wouldn't change. The I would put in a $25 contribution, and the tax would go down by $40!!! I tried to remove them one at a time, or change the dollar amount up and back down, and it was constantly glitching. I'm not sure if it's right or not. I am very disappointed. I have used Turbo Tax every year for 15+ years, and it gets worse every year instead of better.
What's not so great: Fields in self-employed deductions couldn't be changed or erased

Good tool, but I need more understanding of filing for dependent care and that form 8824 was new to me. I got lost and I do not think that I completed it correctly and it might have cost me a few dollars.
What's great about it: Good tool except I need a better understanding of deductions for dependent care.
What's not so great: I did not like the fact that I could not get online help with form 8824. I think I may have not done it correctly.

Saves My Sanity and My Wallet

Being that I do the taxes for my husband, myself and my three children, Turbo Tax really does make the process easy for me and I am not a good bookkeeper at all. It tells me exactly what I need every step of the way. I have been using this software for several years now.
What's great about it: Ease of use, walking me through one step at a time.
What's not so great: Really none that I can think of.

Easy Peasy

This year I decided to join my contemporaries and e-file for the first time. I organized my paperwork on night one and downloaded Turbo Tax. I had filled my personal information and downloaded my W2 before I stopped myself. I didn't want to barrel through it, mindlessly. On the second night, I sat down with a cup of coffee but didn't need it. I was done inside of 90 minutes. I still had time for the basketball game!
What's great about it: It was the easiest chore I've ever undertaken with my taxes. Every question had a help feature, I was never confused
What's not so great: I can't think of one, other than I miss joking around with my tax agent!

It makes doing taxes easy except that the antivirus software is incompatible so I had to turn it off to launch the product. I also could not print at the end

Another excellent product. Easy to use and thorough. Walks me through the process and gives me detailed help along the way. Exceptional value. Much cheaper than any other service and feel totally confident I got all the deductions I was authorized. No concers about mistakes or an audit.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Comprehensive. Great help sections as you go.
