We were having problems with our deductions and with sending our returns efile. Both calls for help on the phone were excellent help. Stayed right with us until we have solved the problem. Very pleased
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
I didn't like that big number up there in red. I figured there must be some mistake, something I left out, something they left out. I probably pulled more "G's" than a fighter pilot evading a heat seeking missle but in the end the real numbers told the story. I punched out and filed. TT gave me every opportunity to save money so now I'll take care of witholding better and save myself some grief next year. I'll be better prepared to "prepare". You get what you pay for and Turbo Tax is a deal.
I am self employed and my husband has a straight job as well as making freelance money. We were confused where to put travel expenses. The per diem was not built into the software. It should be. I had to ballpark it for the return, so I tried to undershoot it unfortunately. He was traveling out of the country, so it was not very clear how to input that: whether to separate out sirfare and hotels or what.
Also, when inputing certain freelance 1099's, it appears that there are several places to put that info or at least it asks about those several times. I don't think we repeated amounts, but I'm not 100% certain. The help button only takes you to discussions. I was hoping there would be a number to call for more definite help.
